Read with interest today that Liverpool have made a bid in the region of £20 Million for the the 20 year old, Sunderland Midfielder, Henderson.

Compare that to the news today that a bid of just £2 Million has been made for Kayal from an English club.

Has the Scottish Game ever rated so poorly in the eyes of those South of the border?

Reports also that McFadden has agreed terms with Celtic.

To end with, I would like to applaud Mr Whyte for sanctioning loan deals only as this will enable rangers to simply return players to their parent club when Insolvency occurs and stops the ugliness of players trying to sue rangers for monies owed for the remaining term of their contracts.

Mr Whyte, I salute you... :bandit:

Fair point.

Ya daft **** <laugh>

The truth is the English have always looked down their noses at Scottish football. Even in 1970 when Celtic were unarguably one of the best teams in Europe, Don Revie made disparaging comments about the standard of Scottish football on the eve of the European Cup clash. Needless to say his Leeds Utd team was put to the sword.

Best to just ignore them.

Was just thinking the same this morning when I heard that on the radio. I don't watch a lot of the EPL but catch the highlights most weeks and I thought 'who' at £20m. Have to say it made me laugh, I think some of it is posturing by the big clubs and their owners to satisfy the clowns in their support who think spending big is the answer to their problems. Can't wait for the EPL bubble to burst.

I'm not sure it ever will burst, I was hopeful about the recession but that ended up making more people stay in and buy Sky Sports <doh>

The bid of £20m has just been accepted.

That's £70m Kenny has spent on THREE players since he returned. How can that be sustainable?

I know they get a lot of money from SKY but they're not even in the Champions League.

When we bought Rush for £300K everyone was cracking up (that was alot back then) because he was unheard of, same with shearer. Give the guy a chance

also when this rule comes in where you need X amount of home grown players kenny dal will be laughing

It probably reflects poorly on my football knowledge, but I honestly have no idea who this Henderson guy is. <laugh>
