I think we need to act quicker. We stalled on Gervinho because we were waiting for an answer from Gameiro, and now it looks like we might miss out on both. Should sit Enrique down and get a straight answer to we can get Taylor or someone in to replace him before we miss another trick.

Did the right thing with Cabaye, got in there quickly before anyone could beat us to it.
 
People are missing the point with Gervinho slightly - it's all about the contract he's offered.

Transfer fees are, in legal terms, agreed pay-offs between current employers and potential employers, to cancel the contract of the individual in question. Once this pay-off is negotiated, it is final, regardless of alternative, higher offers, unless the employer pulls the plug. We have had an offer accepted, and so other clubs would have no need to offer more.

Therefore, the choice is entirely Gervinho's; wherever he wants to go, he will go.
