Can i just reiterate what JWM has said. Dave, you and I both have histroy, but i respect you and since are major falling out and my reinstatement i believe this is all water under the bridge. unfortunately Rob has this attitude that he wants to be my personal mod and not let the dust settle and at every oppotunity brings it up to create another issue.

Rob, you only have to look at the post on the first page to see you poking the hornets nest trying to get a response, why was the need to bring anything up? why do you feel the need to shout WUM everytime i post? And using something so serious as the topic of this thread for your petty vendetta against me is pretty low.

You're an utter f***wit. I didn't bring you into it, NcGandy did. There was no mention of or reference to you until I had to defend myself from Gandy's attack. As far as I was concerned, that ended fully two days ago, but OTHERS kept bringing it up. My oblique reference to a dispute was between Norwich posters where one used the same word to describe Hughton a couple of months ago - I specifically explained that my posts had nothing to do with you - you are an arrogant, self-involved and slimy little stirrer. Once again you have proved yourself a malicious and spiteful little man, intent on causing trouble and it's quite clear that you actually need a personal mod. At least JWM had the common courtesy not to even bother trying to twist facts like you. As for WellyBlue and his little "compliment", I've not seen a more back-handed compliment. Well as I said, you've succeeded in turning several Norwich posters against me, so it's clear that the best scenario is for me to leave.

Can't wait to see your next deliberate misrepresentation, but as it's a given, I certainly won't be responding and this is my last word on the matter.

JWM, You and I have had our run ins over time but generally remained on good terms.I think the bad feeling towards The Mail,and by extension it's readership,has been heightened by the events of this week.I don't want to appear an intellectual snob but the mail readership tends to be those who regard The Times or The Telegraph rather heavy going and they tend to see things in rather more simplistic terms.I'm sorry if that seems patronising but the advertising people know this so if you look at the ads in the different papers you will see who their readers are comprised of. I think the current spat with The Mail was more about them trying to scare deserting Tories back from UKIP by starting the Red Ed fiasco,which it has to be said has rebounded on them quite badly.

I am a bit loath to go back onto the subject of papers, but it's sort of a requirement for them to limit their writing to a certain 'reading age', here's a selection:

THE SUN: 8 Years

DAILY MAIL: 11 Years

THE TELEGRAPH: 14 Years

THE GUARDIAN: 16 Years

Maybe that also explains the relative popularity of some of them.

He hasn't got a bloody clue and for him to try and take the moral high ground and judge others by his own narrow minded standards is just plain hypocracy!

Both my parents read it and they're not racist just right wing rather than left.... one of the best bits at sixth form was my mate saying why do we keep getting this rubbish (talking about the newspapers in the library) then picking up and ripping the Guardian in two. then being told by the angry librarian to get a new one which made him more angry as he had to increase their circulation.

I've actually got lots of them, though of course that's not the slightest bit relevant to anything. I've lived down in London for the past decade or so - in both Kennington and Hackney which are both predominantly 'black' areas - and in all my time down here I've never, not even once, felt threatened walking down a dark street at night and I've certainly never been assaulted on the street because of my colour.

But then again I'm not a small minded, ignorant, bigoted arsehole, and I don't have any hatred or even dislike for any particular cross-section of our society based upon skin colour/religion/sexuality or any other trait that we happen to be born with. Hmmmm, I wonder if that is maybe the reason I've never been attacked?

I'm not necessarily a fan of the guy, but he made some excellent points about Paul Dacre, who incidentally is the main reason I'm not keen on the Mail. I know people who have worked for the Mail, and they are intelligent, reasonable people. Just a shame they ended up working for him.

Sorry to bring this one up again, but can I assume from this comment that you don't have any black friends with a degree? Not even one? Despite living in an area supposedly 90% black/muslim?
