before you shout at me, i know, they're 2 different players, i'm sorry but not for me, i would rather have Owen in my team than that racist rat, he's not ''world-class'' as many people are sdaying, whereas with our former player, he won the Ballon d'or at a time when we had players like, Zidane, Beckham, Scholes, Figo, Rivaldo and Shevchenko, that's some achievement, i wish we could've got him when he left Real Madrid, i think we were after him before he went to Newcastle, i could be wrong on that one though.
 
Owen was one of my favorites and I'm not in the traitor camp, he left to win the champions league with Real after giving us years of great service and when he left we went and won it :D

I will fully admit that up until that happened I hated him like everyone else but he went to Madrid then Newcastle then utd so I don't see it as he betrayed us, as much as I hate to say it he joined you to win a few Empty medals before he retired which is fair enough imo.

but, yes Owen and Suarez are very different forwards and taking into account the time they have both been at the club (Suarez- who knows I when /if he leaves) I would have Suarez over Owen any day, mostly for pure entertainment value.

in other words..... Owen got me off my seat when he scored and Suarez he gets me off my feet most of the time he has the ball.

He won the balliindiirblah because he was deadly at that time and young.

also to say Suarez is not world class is just, well.... not worth responding to, but even Stevie Wonder knows he's the bollox.

Carra is spot on.

Suarez as an all round player is miles better than Owen was.

However Owen is a miles better finisher than Suarez <ok>

As a footballer probably Suarez but Owen scared teams to death with his sheer pace.

At their peeks one guaranteed you 30 goals a season whilst the other guarantees you 20 goals and at least a 6 game suspension so it's a tough call <whistle>

I think it depends what your team needs, as in Chelsea at the moment already have flair/creative players and just need someone to put it in the net, out of the 2 Owen fits that better. I think as a pair they would compliment each other a bit like Roo & RVP.
