oh manchester united , so clearly crap , no fergie factor , no brown envelopes for webby , no fergie time . its a hard world now aint it ? hahahahahahahahahah hahahahahhahahahahahah hahahahahhahahahahah that is all .
Utterly dominated, we just failed to take our numerous chances until the end. Their keeper Marshall was unanimous MOTM and they didn't register a single shot on target. 29 shots, 63% possession and we left it late to nick a win, unfortunately. Hardly a terrible performance, by any standard.
You guys know all about nicking wind at the end of matches, it shows character to keep on going until the end. We may not be scoring a lot but our defence is incredible. 1 goal conceded in 8 matches now.
Yeah that's the thing, same with our game against them, utterly dominated possession but no end product. They're getting caught up in the possession winning craze at the moment. Yes possession is important but winning is more important. The manner of the victory doesn't underline their dominance because they had no end product. A better team might have beaten them, regardless of the possession/shot statistics. That's all it suggests to me.
i never said it was poor , but with 105 million quid spent ......against a Cardiff city side , i expected more than a goal in injury time , didnt you ?
wouldn't surprise me if one of you guys wins the league this season despite all the talk of the 3 new managers
£105m spent? Net spend £2m. Lots of new players, as you've already pointed out, and we still won a game which City lost. Cardiff worked extremely hard ant their keeper had one of those games. I'll happily take a good performance and a 1-0 away win with the opposition failing to register a shot on target, ta.
i think i am banned form the yooooooooooooooooooonited board , strange as i have posted about 3 things there in 3 years hahahahahah . Poor souls . I guess they can sense the antagonism .
Watched the highlights The game could have been so different had the referee noticed the handball outside the box by Lloris. The guy needs to watch himself, that's the second time it's happened. Also Cardiff had a disallowed goal. The game could have swung differently. Anyway, both of us have not faced serious opposition in the league yet (apart from each other). The difficulty will be ratcheted up a notch next week when you visit Chelsea and we travel to Swansea.
There are some tough team in the league this year and quite a few can do each other on any given day. With Fergie gone, the league seems very open this season. Good probability that one of the London teams will do it this season....
Seeing as I can't post on the spuds board, I'll have to ask the question here. Would you be happy if the table finished as it stands today ?
Winning the league? Course I would. No other position in the table matters as much. Not even if the spuds finish in the CL places. Edit sorry if you were asking their fans, just chiming in.
Off course not, those ****s would prefer to end 10th if it meant us not winning the title. Everything in their lives revolves around Arsenal, all their new players, as well as current players, to the manager, always set Arsenal as the crossing line to determine how good they are, for them it's not just about top 4, but as they all say, finishing and overtaking Arsenal, that's their major chip on their shoulder.
