Well late last night Whyte delivered to the bears. Confirming the huge investment of £5 Million for Aunt Sally to spend. rangers have not seen such investment since... Well last season when Lloyds TSB gave Walter that amount.

As for the £18 Million debt Whyte promised he would waive it unless rangers become insolvent or be "unable to pay its debts as they fall" he also stated he would add the £5 Million transfer money, the £3million for the tax bill and the £1.7 Million for ibrox upgrades to the total debt and get it all back.

Has there ever been a better man with the rangers cause at heart.

Maybe the bears can inform us all why he is squirreling the season ticket money from 23000 to 27000 renewals away for the next 3 years... :bandit:

Thomson and Wilson were sold for fees last summer, the playing squad was also reduced by a great deal cutting the wage bill dramatically.

The OP sounds a lot like that crackpot Phil McGobblegiver, which is nice as many are clearly still hurting <ok>

Not on the wind up Frank as i know as much about accounts as i do about nuclear science, however is it not a bit concerning that it seems whilst White has paid the debt to Lloyds it is transferred to White? Meaning the club still owes the money? Meaning he'll be looking this back at some point? (might be now, might be never mind!)

He might just want Rangers as his play toy, which to be fair if I was rich enough I'd think about doing the same with Celtic.

But yes Walter Smith spent the best bit of £5m on one player last season, why is this season any different to last?

Rangers are better off for having been taken over. But not by as much as some would have you believe, the debt being waived by Whyte is dependent on no major bill from HMRC being forthcoming as far as I can tell. As regards that and for the long-term intentions of Whyte, we'll have to wait and see.

It's all a bit dull to be perfectly honest. Much like the protracted takeover itself.

I honestly couldnt care less who the debt is listed under, as long as the club can move forward sensibly with a sustainable and half decent playing squad. We had the drunken sailor spending of Advocaat, the panic buy galore period of Big Eck then the belt tightening with Walter after initial rebuilding, all of that gave me the anger so I think the Rangers support are happy we seem to be moving in a new direction. I dont want to see us spend money for the sake of it, just get the right players in the right positions.

Pretty much what he said, finance in football is even more dull than finance alone. Accountants can go away and throw ****e at themselves.

The one thing people are forgetting here is that Whyte actually bought Rangers from David Murray for £1

The combined assets of Rangers are effectively worth around £50m

The amount of money Whyte is said to be shelling out is around £50m.....that entails writing off the debt and investing in the squad.

Yes the debt that was owed to Lloyds is now owed to Whyte instead...but considering the clubs assets are worth £50m, and Whyte is spending around £50m to buy those assets....aswell as clear the clubs debt (by taking it on himself) AND invest in the squad....I fail to see how that is not a good deal!

The debt that is now owed to Whyte is effectively part of the money he would have paid to buy the club if we were not in dire straits financially!

"I am 100% confident we will win the case with HMRC."

Funny how the whole business is now set up for Whytes company to take advantage of rangers facing insolvency.

    Swallow, Swallow we will...

This is what confuses me, they've built a decent foundation to a team with Kayal, Ledley, Commons, Hesaqueer and Hooper being great signings and have something to build on, yet this fanny is more interested in getting tore into our financies like a dug wi a burst baw. If they could get a good keeper, sort their defence (as Loovens and Monsterbitch are brutal) and create a solid spine then they could have a very good team which we'll have to be even stronger to see off.

Next season has the potential to be all about football and be a cracker, both Old Firm teams should be stronger, Hearts have made some decent signings, Motherwell are building a good side and Dundee United will be up there again so all this financial pish, mock offended by everything and celtc led witch hunt against referees really needs to stop. Lets get on with the fitbaw and have some decent banter again, ya fannies.

Our referees are ****e, but they're certainly not biased against sellic. Whatever riles up the masses to sell tickets though <ok>

I can hardly ever get on here, I'll click on a few pages then it'll get filtered with the reason usually being "adult material" or "sex" <laugh> I've also been getting my head down lately as I've got a lot on with regards to work and ****ing myself into a coma.

    Bottomfeedthequeen.

On what basis are you 100% confident that Rangers will win their forth coming tax case?
Have you any good fact base reasons?
Are you basing your confidence on the fortnightly renditions of GSTQ ?
