This site takes football and wrings all the joy out of it. We have lost once. We have three great new players. We have a wealth of young english talent. We have been getting a lot of plaudits from neutrals. Opposing fans (unless idiots who rhyme with dickster) have all thought we looked good. Match reports from the game saw more positives than our own fans. And I am stuck with a plethora of threads about how useless and overpriced our players are. ****ing hell. Where's my razor?
You think this site does it..? Crikey..! Try a few others..! There has been a new expectation that hasn't quite been lived upto yet. I little patience from all sides might help. All of you, put the cut-throats away. You know who you are.
Compared with last season peoples reactions have been quite subdued. Only a couple of really negative posters. I think most of us can see what MP and NC are aiming for.
Could not agree more........Having a difference of opinion is healthy...........It is surely natural for the actual fans of a club to be a bit more critical than others that are not. After all it is they that are actually forking out good money mostly, to support the club. In the main there has not been too much negativity....take away the disappointment angle of some posts and it really has not been that bad. Would agree we have had some that have been very negative but they too have a point to make as is their right.
I think you are putting negative connotations on the word "negative". I actually don't think that voicing the odd criticism is necessarily negative anyway. The best criticism is always constructive. So saying that player x is crap would be negative and pointless but saying that player y should play instead and outlining your reasons, that would be critical and constructive. This is what I try to do being a glass half-empty type. This would be a dull old forum if we all thought everything was a bundle of roses all the time.
I agree they were brilliant today. Anyone could criticise Wanyama for some sloppy distribution but his sheer presence in midfield scares players. He is a monster.
