Yes, I remember we outplayed them for long periods at St James's Park but they sneaked an equaliser. They picked up as the season went on so that has to be our objective...

It looks we will find more time and space away than at LR. As Hitchin has said, teams will 'park the bus' and invite us to be inventive enough to find a way through. We are going to have to live with it.

Picking up on Yappys post. This forum would almost certainly not be the success it is without the diverse opinions of the bunch who congregate on here. Watching a football match is like looking at a piece of art, very subjective. We all have an opinion. There are certain posters who I almost never agree with but who is right or wrong?.
Yappy has been on here long enough to know how to put people on 'Ignore' if he doesn't like reading what he considers tosh. Here endeth the sermon.

I don't think we can be too critical of HR for playing 4-4-2 from the kick-off, it has served us well enough up until today's game. Probably would have been different if AJ was up-top with Austin.

Young Carroll, if he's to be our playmaker (which I'm guessing is HR's plan), will need an extra midfielder alongside him to make it work; Henry or O Neil, probably.

So credit to HR for changing the shape when things weren't working. Personally, I would've gone with a midfield 5 from the off, but at least the Manager recognised things weren't going as planned and made the change for the second half.

Another win under the belt and plenty of time for the new players to make their mark. We haven't reached our top level yet, which, in my opinion, is reassuring considering our position in the table.

We've ridden our luck with 4-4-2, if we go in 2-0 down at half-time can we rescue it? Somehow I'm doubtful. He has to look at 4-2-3-1...

From the 3 away games I've been too, 4-4-2 has been good enough. And it's all well and good throwing hypotheses around but playing 5 in the middle (my preferred option) doesn't mean QPR are going to boss every game, does it? Sooner or later, we will find ourselves 1 or 2 nil down, regardless of the system. 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 doesn't guarantee victory.

Besides, HR did change to the formation, so clearly he his looking at it.

Right back at you, fat drunk lady! <doh> or was that not sarcastic or ironic enough? You're never successful, how about that? May be it's time you gave up trying to be so clever or funny and left. You're not writing any comedy TV shows for the BBC, mmmmmmk? OK then bye bye now <laugh>

Christ what's this guys problem? That strength of reaction to what was a mild post from Beth suggests some hyper vigilance to criticism on your part. Were you bullied as a child? (if you' not still one...!). I just have an image of an obese greasy recluse who makes an occasional foray down from his room when Mummy calls "dinner!".
Bit of social awareness would come in handy Yappy

Well 16pts out of 18 and it could have been 18 if we had a bit more luck at Huddersfield it really is all gloom and doom reading some of these posts with some of our performances. It could be a lot worse. Lets hope performances improve in this league Lol

Totally agree.

We know the vast majority of relegated EPL sides initially struggle in the Championship.

The stats on returning immediately back the to the Premiership are pretty slim.

So to be where we are is very impressive.

Sure we would all like to see us banging in loads of goals, but at this stage, clean sheets and 3 pointers, dont why any QPR supporter would be grumbling

That is so true. Then again i hope that the coaching stuff and the players are as critical about their performances so far as the fans in this site.

I take your point completely, but if we continue in the same vain then at some point, the opposition are going to stick away their chances. Admittedly you don't get punished in this division in the way you do in the Premier League.

Yesterday was another bad performance that resulted in 3 points, which highlights the poor standard of this league. We will improve, and when we do, we will run away with the league.

Hi all.
I have been unable to get online for sometime and even when I did, I rarely posted. I do want to say a couple of things.

Firstly, much love to brix's family, the only user I have ever private messaged on here. great man and will be sorely missed. I really wish I could have made it yesterday, as a very rare drinker, I would have happily raised a glass to him.

Secondly, Yappy, Why? What is the purpose of his existence on this forum? He strikes me as nothing more than someone trolling or lacking such basic social graces, that either way he should just be ignored. Like I tell my 4 year old courtesy and manners cost nothing so they should never be in short supply.

Yappy, as I’m sure you are aware we have a set of rules on this forum that everyone agreed to. Included within the Standard Offences section of these rules is the heading personal disrespect / abuse. Just from memory this is the second personal attack you have made on qprbeth and a quick scan back through your recent posts immediately reveals another personal attack on West London Willy and some posts that fall under the wumming category.

This is a formal warning that this behaviour will not be tolerated, and although the standard punishment for re-offending after a formal warning is a one week site ban there is provision in the Standard Sanctions rules to escalate this to a longer ban dependent on the severity or number of offences and we would have no hesitation in evoking this clause.

So Yappy the ball is in your court, adhere to the forum rules or face the consequences. Should you re-offend QPR999 and I would not have to consult before acting, we have agreed on the correct course of action. Your choice.

By the way, neither qprbeth nor West London Willy have raised a complaint against you, QPR999 and I highlighted your latest offensive post to each other immediately upon reading it.

Are we going to go through this AGAIN? Blaaaaady 'ell.

Stop her from commenting at ME. I never started anything against her in the FIRST PLACE. She's the one who came after me, and CONTINUES to do so.

Get her off MY back. Full stop. I make a comment about something or someone, and she's usually the first to pipe in with, what amounts to, a stupid, inane, uneducated, unfunny comment directed at ME.

May be you should tell her to stop chasing after me, to stop being so pretentious.

Go ahead and block me all you want. We went thought this before, as you recall. She thinks she's so damned clever, wherever she's holed up, and here I am breaking through all the muck and telling it like it is from the inside, to wipe away the blinders you've all got on, some sort of strange dream-like lens from which you look at QPR.

Good luck with that.
