4 first teamers out against your fully fit squad. If you can't beat up our patched up mob then I really will have some fun on here! COYI!
We finished last season pretty much level. Our first eleven will be weaker than when we last met and yours will be considerably stronger. It's not an excuse, it's a fact. And if you mess this up, I will laugh. A lot.
Was pleased to see Boruc play another 90 mins as it was suggested that he was injured. Some players have long trips ahead of them though, so that extra day will be useful. Will be surprised if they are all available though...there is always one fragile flower (yes, Ramirez, I am looking at you) that needs a little more recovery time. And Dani will have had to have his ponytail retrimmed.
Yeah I get your point I was jus messin. But that worries me as its saints and when the pressures on we never beat teams we're expected to. And you didn't answer my Carroll question. Were there other targets you wished you had signed?
Ramirez only played 20 minutes but was blowing up. He needs to get match fit and that should be high on the list of poch's priorities. Perhaps he will need another decent cup performance but i would start him. We have great defensive cover and its time we made some use of it by playing our 4 best attackers in lambert, osvaldo, lallana, and ramirez.
As usual with a dull Fat Sam team you are difficult to beat. That said we are due a big score against some-one. Might as well be you
We finished last season level did we? I got a slightly different impression from all your crowing I must say. To be fair to Ramirez he has the worst of the time difference, with his games starting much later than everyone else's (his game "yesterday" actually finished at about quarter to one this morning, BST) so he essentially has a day less to recover.
It seems trixter is avoiding the hard questions. My mate's a West Ham fan and he's over the moon about signing Downing. Says a lot about your team if you're happy that you got Stuart Downing.
I've never been a Downing fan, he is such a one-footed player that it must be easy to mark him out of a game. However, to be fair, last season he actually started to get more confident with his right foot and I thought he played very well for Liverpool. With Carroll playing it was a fairly sensible purchase. Of course with Carroll not playing..........
Lol. I've been sat with my laptop on since yesterday I'm not going as overboard as last season. Quite simply our first 11 are better than their first 11. That in turn worries me because BFS is so clueless about football that their reserve 11 might actually be better and able to play football. We have got to beat one of the favourites for relegation sooner or later and this is the one I would like to win more than any other. Hope Poch works out a way to play Lambert to his best. He's been here long enough to figure something out now. Saints team: -------------------------------Boruc----------------------------------- -------------------------------Lovren---------------------------------- ---------Schneiderlin---- Ward Prowse----------------------- Cork Clyne-----Lallana-----Lambert----Osvaldo----Rodriguez----Shaw Subs: Lee, Seager, Sinclair, Rowe, Isgrove, Wanyama, Fonte
...............Boruc..... Clyne...Fonte...Lovren...Shaw ........Cork.....Schneiderlin Ramirez....Lambert.....Lallana ..............Osvaldo
Quick Pepys..! If anyone has a 100 year old football fan in their vicinity, get him over to the screen and see if he remembers seeing a 1-3-6 formation. Incidentally, I suppose I did watch Saints, as a kid, lining up at 2-3-5 at kick-off, at home, but I'm not 100% certain.
They will be 10 players in and around their own box setting themselves up to defend the 80 yard hopeful punt they launched upfield. They will currently be going through a BFS intensive hypnotherapy session of 'WE WILL WIN 0-0, WE WILL WIN 0-0' Chris Nicholl would know how to beat these 4-2-4 with Le Tiss, Rideout, Rodney, Shearer tearing them apart.
I just hope we get a big performance from our team. We looked like we lacked idea's against Norwich. That goes for the players & the gaffer.
