I haven't got a clue about that mate. But it's better than anything we have at the moment. Especially Bobby 'bloody' Zamora.

Have you ever lost a child Swords, whatever age ?
My Mrs had an early stage miscarriage and trust me fella, whatever the age it DOES effect you, a lot more than you might think. I had tears, anger and blamed myself for what I could and should of done. And I never even got to see the baby (or collection if cells if you want to be a heartless c***).
What he must of went through was far, far worse and I respect him for it.

If you wanted a bite then you got one from me !!

If you truly believe that any amount of money would soften the blow of losing a baby that tells us all we need to know about your values.

Yes, I do believe it would soften the blow somewhat. Try telling that to someone on the breadline who's suffered such a loss and hasn't time to worry about it, let alone mourn, because they need to think of how they're going to get the bare essentials of survival for their family the next day and the next day after that and the next day after that etc. Let the person in question book his exotic holidays, counselling, maybe a page 3 girl or two and whatever other creature comforts he wants to help him come to terms with something that happens ordinary people on a daily basis.

No more than Clarke Carlisle and his incessant whimpering, I find it very difficult, no - impossible, to muster up any kind of sympathy for modern professional footballers.

They're living in a different World entirely mate.

They may be in a different world but loss and grief won't be any less for it. Compassion and humanity apply to both worlds.

I've appendaged two words to your second sentence Matt.

And therein lies my whole point; It doesn't.

I'm not sure I need you to re-write my posts to suit yourself thanks.

So money automatically means that you lose humanity and stop caring?

If you put a price of 18k per week on losing an infant then what price would mean that losing your whole family is softened by cash? 100k per week? 300k?

Not that you'd take that because you'd be selling your humanity anyway right?

Me, I care but clearly not half as much as someone with twice my overdraft.... Obviously.

This thread has caused at least two of our posters to relive desperate memories. I sincerely apologise to both. I'm ending it now.
