A while back i made a few comments about Lee Cattermole which i got from a girl i used to work with who is really good mates with Jordan Henderson - they went to school together. She's been out with the players a few times and knows some of them really well.

Just heard from her that he is defnitely going to Liverpool.

Many of you may have already come to that conclusion with all the media talk but for me, this more or less confirms it is definitely happening

She didn't say how much for though!!

I have spoken to a contact (very good friend of a friend) who is generally well ITK as he is a chief exec at a ex premier club.

He has not heard anything, but said and I quote - "This would be typical Liverpool, trying to unsettle a player to get him on the cheap, I hope Sunderland hold them to ransom for everything they can get, especially if they don't want to sell. They are also trying to unsettle one of our best players".

Sorry cannot mention names.

IMO Hendo and SAFC would be mad to sanction this transfer. However if Hendo wants to go, then we have to sell at the best price.

Ask yourself this - Why would Hendo want to go to a small has-been club like Liverpool. He is still young, g'teed 1st team footie for him the develop, is in the England set up, plays for the club he supports. If he is that good, he can go the best clubs in Europe when he is 25/26, if SAFC do not match his ambition.

SAFC should say he is not for sale at any price.

Lol Bart

PS in todays mad market, add to that the big clubs are recruiting the best english talent - we should not consider anything less than £35m - FFS if donkey Caroll is worrth that, so is Hendo.

He will definitely play at Anfield next season, might not be more than one game, subject to him being fit, but having said that as long as he plays more than 1 game at the SoL it probably might mean he is still playing for us, perhaps.

Only passing on the information I received earlier today. Only time will tell I suppose. I guess I've got mixed feelings. I like Henderson. Made some mistakes but still learning his trade. However £18,000,000 (looks more when u see all zeros!!!!!) is probably far too good to turn down. My big concern is that were selling Players from an already depleted squad! Bruce, Quinn, Short and Walton need to get their arses in gear sharpish!!
