Exactly. They can dish it. But can't take it. It would be fair enough if I just jumped on another article on their board and just disrupted the discussion they were having there about their team.
I know you guys are really impressed with Toure's early performances and i know he has been very good for you so far. But Koscielny really is one of the best CB's in the league. He is just a total beast. I cannot stress enough how good he is as a CB. He was arguably our player of the season last year.
As i've said already in this thread i really like Toure as a person and player and wish him all the best. I wanted him as our 4th choice CB last year when he was first linked with move away from City. But he really isn't as good as Koscielny. Comming from someone who has seen a LOT more of both of them than you, i would hands down take Koscielny over Toure, no competition. I like Toure, i'd still have him at Arsenal as back-up, but he is past his very best (even if he is still good) and Koscielny is just entering his very best.
You have to realise that for Arsenal fans it is fairly similar to saying there isn't much difference between Suarez and Giroud. I know that is a slightly extreme example, but that is the reaction you will get from ALL Arsenal fans as Koscielny is rated as one of our best players and a key reason we managed top 4 last season. What i'm saying is in a similar way you lot rate Suarez as one of your best players and a key part of why you managed what you did last season, we rate Koscielny. He has real importance to our team.
It seems you lot genuinely believe Toure is as good as Koscielny. Now whilst to Arsenal fans that might seem completely insane, i accept that it is most unlikely that any agreement will be made on the subject
And just to be clear i rate Toure highly, just don't think he is on the same level of Kosc (but i think there are only a handful of defenders who are tbh).
Fair points. For the record I know Koscielny is a fantastic player, that goes without saying. But we had Carra retire and we needed more than just a footballer to come in and replace him, Toure for us has exceeded all expectations. Koscielny is obviously the younger more consistent player, but Toure has come in and done more than what is needed. Both are valuable to both teams, whether Toure continues this form remains to be seen, but thankfully we have more depth now than we have had in years.

Nonsense. Toure has never been a leader. On the contrary, he's needed a leader next to him - Campbell at Arsenal for example. When Campbell left and more onus was put on Toure he failed to deal with it.
Yes he contributed to our unbeaten season... ten years ago... when he was very good. Now he's just 'good'. Not brilliant, but good. And requiring of a solid communicative directing CB next to him. And a level below Koscielny.

If all goes to plan, then I too assume Toure will be a backup for us (as you say, a bloody good backup to have!), we're not in a position to spend £15M plus on defender and keep him on the bench, Sakho as been signed to play, Agger is VC and appears to be one of Rodgers favourites in that he wants ball playing defenders to implement his philosophy.
As we may has said in past discussions, Koscielny for you is Lucas to us, these players may not get the credit they deserve from opposition fans but they're seen as key ingredients to our respective teams!

He first appeared with name calling and I said he should be banned then (I saw some of his past posts before he turned up here). I was told to wind it in which I did, just let it be which I did of course and just stayed out of his way. Since then, he's carried on, hes had lots of warnings and i've seen him calling ppl on here various child things *(when im not involved) I looked at this thread yesterday and first thing I come across is him laying into Dave
If he can cut the insults I have no problem with a stranger on a message board but when I have to read his childish **** and stuff hes been told about directly, lots of times enoughs enough
So dont tell me theres no need for him to be banned of here and we should just let him get away with childish insults to whomever he feels like dishing them out too

No idea mate, I've no read all the thread tbh. I think bans on multi club forums should always be a last resort though & I have seen him post sensibly, so it's not beyond him.
@magic - i agree you lot have more depth now than you have had in a long time which bodes well for being able to maintain some form for a whole season which is where you lot have struggled in recent times.

I like multi club forums (hence me settling here) and enjoy speaking with fans of other teams, in fact I was peed off when you couldnt multi board anymore
But honestly, this lad continues with the insults and they arent all directed at me but im sick of reading his ****
Check out pg 38 off this thread. That was about his fifth warning. Mods do a good job and I'll go with whatever they decide but I dont see how someone can come on here and continually get away with insults to good posters who have been here a damn sight longer than he has (I dont mean me and I dont just mean Dave, he insults everyone and has been doing so for a good while)
