This film "12 Years a Slave" at the Toronto Festival is being compared to Schindler's List. They reckon it'll win all the Oscars.

I didn't like it tbh, felt it was too slow.

Completely agree. I couldn't get into it at all.

I love District 9, and I can't even explain why. It's just such a good film.

Yes! I saw this in the cinema with two mates, when we left they both went "well, that was ****" for me to sheepishly reply, "well, I really liked it". Watched it a few times since and now I love it.

I've heard of the book, I didn't know it was being made into a film? When's it out?

Pitt must be due an Oscar soon. Seems to becoming a better actor with age IMO. Meanwhile, in a match which is very loud but of very high quality, Azarenka has levelled the match at one set all after winning a tie break. Onto a final set.

OK I know the new series of Phoneshop has been a bit weak, but because of this, I can forgive them.

I've still never seen Fight Club, for some reason. I've got it on DVD, but it's right next to the Tarantino stuff on my shelf so every time I go to watch it I just think, **** it, I'll watch Pulp Fiction instead.

It's definitely worth seeing, but people rave about it way more than it deserves. Seven is the far better Brad Pitt film.

Yeah seven is a good film Inglourious Bastards is as well. Pitts next movie looks good as well. It's called The Counsellor.

One film that affected me the most is probably 'Requiem for a dream'. When it finished I just sat there for about 20 minutes staring blankly at the credits thinking 'wtf.'
