true right - you never give up on supporting your team. I understand people not considering going to matches when things are going tough. Its a lot of money to spend to endure rather than enjoy yourself. I even understand if instead of going to see Town you go and watch a local non-league team due to wanting to see a live match but you never go and just switch teams due to the going getting tough.
I hate the ME regime at the club but would never swap my support.

The original poster claims to be 65 but is suggesting changing support due to a lack of investment. Thats the kind of statement I expect from a 7 year old who suddenly supports Man City due to the superstars. Its a pathetic idea of support if you ask me.

In addition, although I would welcome the chance for a couple of money spending signings to improve the squad, Football never used to be and for me, never should be about the cash investment. Any old tosser can buy success. A decent team can spot unproven gems, improve potential and get an average bunch of players to perfrom through organisation and a decent game plan.

Sorry but for me the original poster is either a WUM or an ******

That may be just his IQ....!

Had that feeling myself a couple of times Guru.

Ay, there was something about all this that seemed a little off, but White Horse has been about on this forum for a while (09/05/2011 to be precise) and I can't say I remember anything suspect or conflicting written by him(/her?) in this time, which is why I haven't made any conclusions of allegiances..

Whatever White Horse's intentions and motives for the negative posts they are still just as welcome as any one else's and I hope that he supports ITFC to the hilt like the rest of us <ok>

Just noticed (maybe me being slow) but this thread is called 'Glad to hear' and is about how the OP is happy in his opinion that we are **** this season and therefore has been proved right
Any fan should be happy to be proved wrong under these circumstances as that would mean the team would be successful.

When I used to post about how much I hated Keane being in charge, I would have much rather had to suffer the abuse from fellow posters for being an Idiot when Keane excelled as it would have been better for the club, which is surely what we all want.

exactly TB, Whatever side of the fence we sit there is one thing that unites us and that is we want to see ITFC do well, and would prefer to be wrong if it meant we had a successful side.

I agree KOPR, but if memory serves me correct most of WH's posts have in the majority been on the negative side and seem to be written in a way designed to get a reaction. As you say, hope I'm way off the mark.

I would like to think that this forum is a broad church that is home to all differing opinions and if some are negative then so be it. I don't think we should be knocking those that do not agree with the mainstream! <ok>

I don't think there's anything in this particular post. I think it's pretty bang on. It's not suggesting anyone actually can bring themselves to switch allegiances but many will wish they could at the moment. When you look up the road, we have nothing to answer back with.
