Done deal apparently. Here's what the BBC had to say about him........

BORINI TO SUNDERLAND

Italy football writer James Horncastle: "No one will be more pleased to see Liverpool striker Fabio Borini nearing a loan move to Sunderland than Italy coach Cesare Prandelli. It's hard to understate how highly regarded the 22-year-old is back home.

"A member of the Azzurri's Euro 2012 squad after scoring nine goals in his only season at Roma, Borini's first one at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers, his former mentor during his time at Chelsea's academy, was desperately unlucky. Injuries meant he never really got to show his worth.

"Should Borini get a run of games under his compatriot Paolo Di Canio at the Stadium of Light, then he will score goals. He has an instinct for them, which in the past has led to comparisons with Pippo Inzaghi."

He'll do for me. Im not sure why hes getting so much critisism, hes only 22 FFS!

That's exactly it though, we're forcing out Sess and bringing in a 22 year old as his replacement

Good signing and he is very highly rated by Italians, also something different to what we have.

Hopefully this doesnt mean Sess is off but with Ji apparently staying it looks like he is.

I just dont understand how our wage bill must be reduced when we already have the smallest squad in the league, Cattermoles, Bardsleys and Browns are the problem, not Sess, at least he plays!

I was hoping he's going to be Ji's replacement or Wickham if we can loan him out somwhere.

Having watched him for us a few times last year he should do well and is bit of a busy player, full of running, lacked a bit of precision in front of goal but like most forwards he needs a run of games to get that sharpness which he wont be getting a l'pool this season, good move for him, us and hopefully your lot too.

I'm less concerned about his age, but more concerned about the service he and fletch are going to get. Our midfield was awful on Saturday.

The BBC refer to lack of form and fitness so he may not be ready for a few games yet...

Comparisons with Inzhagi? Would love to see him fulfil that.

He will do for us mate, lacking precision is our specialty! And I dont mind loaning players from Liverpool, after all they are top of the league and on current form there is no way hes getting in their team ahead of Sturridge with Suarez coming back (Unless Real come in), could be the quickest re-call in loan history! haha

Played 66-Goals-18

He's only started 22 games in his senior club career. Most of them starts were for Roma where he scored 10 in 26 appearances. Given no chance at Liverpool of Chelsea.

Could be genius, could be disaster. Can't be too bad for a 3rd choice striker.

He has a trade mark celebration too which has given him the nickname The Pirate.

Bloody hope not ;)

Looks like some have condemned the lad before he has even signed..God help him if he actually pulls on the shirt..

Judging by the way the fans treat and talk about Ji the lad is ****ed already mate. His stats aren't too bad when you take away his injury plagued time with the Bin dippers where he only had 2 starts.

My pal from Rome messaged me last night going mental saying he can't believe we have signed him and reckons he will be a cracking player for us. He is a Roma fan and said Roma fans were universally devestated when he was sold.

Our 3rd choice striker last season was Danny Fatfucker ....... this season it will be an Italian international who was recently sold for £10 million.
He's only 22 but has already played in Europe and his clubs are Roma, Chelsea & Liverpool.

Where did it all go wrong ...............
