Fair play to him! Let's just hope no more players like him slip from the club's grasp in the future.
 
Could end up being a rather big flop at Real (he is no Ronaldo), but as you said good luck to the lad.
 
Given the opportunity, i.e. the ball where he can do most damage (and Ronaldo not taking it off him) and staying injury free he will succeed. However you can bet your house on the Spanish hatchet men knowing what they have to do to slow him down.<yikes>

Plus Chris Pike is Bales Uncle why didnt he recommend him. Saying that maybe he did.

I was thinking that. How can an entire school know a possible future star yet the "experts" at Cardiff miss it?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Have you ever heard anyone from any school say about anyone "oh I thought he/she was okay but nothing special"?

If he had of been picked up by Cardiff, he would have left ages ago anyway. Same as Ramsey. Can't see any point worrying about the fact we didn't get him when he was a kid as he would have gone by the time he was 17 probably. We would have sold him on for a 4-5 million and that would have been that.
