Demba Ba, decent signing IMHO, should do well with the likes of Walcott, Carzola, Wiltshere and now (if he signs) Ozil feeding him!

A faint wafte drifts around the Emirates. The groundsman wrinkles his nose, wondering at the smell. Not the drains, and not the roses either. The groundsman remembers the smell, but momentarily can't place it. It wasn't in the canteen or out on the pitch, he thinks to himself. Not the canteen either, although the veal ravioli had turned...

No, the groundsman remembers now. Its the smell that hangs around the home bench for the first couple of home games. And the managers' office in August. Now he remembers it.

Its the smell of desperation... :emoticon-0119-puke: and wet <badger>

Ozil for over £40mil? Ba a top player? havin' a giraffe...<laugh>

So now Arsenal are pinning their hopes on someone who was subbed every 60 mins into a game last season by Mouriniho?

Ozil is a fantastic player but a) is not blistering with pace and b) not what Arsenal need.

They have Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Ramsey, and a few more in midfield. They're extremely light at the back and their strikers don't fill anyone with confidence (though Giroud has started well). Midfield was actually their strongest position so to reinforce that would be the last thing Arsene should be focusing on.

They might sign Viviano who was okay last year with Fiorentina, though general consensus was that he wasn't worth the 7m€ asking price. He would still be backup to Sczeszny.

I hope they don't sign strikers or defenders though. That would weaken them.

I agree, Ozil would be a fantastic buy for anyone, but he doesn't play where currently Arsenal are weak. Of course there's still time in the day left, I expect them to do more business, wouldn't be threatened by Ba, mind.

Actual we do need Ozil if any of you ****tards have been paying attention, we just lost 2 wingers to injury, plus lost another 2 creative players in the summer, a new creative midfielder was high on the list of targets we wanted, and we're now getting one of the best creative midfielders in Europe, Ozil has set up 64 goals in 3 season, yeah, take that and stick it straight up your scousers asses, this guy is better than all your creative midfielders put together, so it's hilarious some of you are trying to downplay him. Getting Ozil will allow us to push Cazorla wide and make up for some of the wingers we have out.

Lol, if any of you ******s seriously think Ozil won't massively improve Arsenal, then you guys are truly smoking something, even if as you say we don't need him (when we actually do), all he's going to do is add more strength to an already strong area, and last I checked, that doesn't hurt a team. Adding one of the top creative midfielders in Europe into your side, never hurts anybody. :).

Ozil to Arsenal is one of the deals of the summer. Cant believe Madrid have paid double for Bale who isnt anywhere near the quality of Ozil.

Ozil = goals for strikers (89 assists in 3 years, Messi second )

You damn right I'm mad when you silly baboons are trying to downplay the possible signing of one of Europe's best creative midfielders. A player like Ozil can only massively improve a team, you guys are high on bitterness, you lot are getting worse than Spurs fans when it comes to bitterness now, even those idiots aren't trying to downplay the signing of Ozil.
