Arsenal played this formation against Tottenham --------Ramsey-------- -----Wilshere---------- ----------Rosicky------ Walcott---------Cazorla --------Giroud-------- Cazorla is far better in the middle, in Rosicky's position, and he played there against Fulham and was superb. But, considering Podolski is injured, Cazorla was once again pushed on the left wing. But then again, he roams a lot and cuts in to the middle. If Ozil was to come, that would probably mean Cazorla will be stuck on that left wing position (he can play there without a problem), while Ozil will play in the middle, on Rosicky's position. Ideally, Rosicky should be moved back and play instead of Wilshere. So, something like this --------Ramsey-------- -----Rosicky---------- ----------Ozil--------- Walcott---------Cazorla --------Giroud-------- with the posibility of Arteta instead of Ramsey and Wilshere instead of Rosicky.
Considering we haven't been linked to anyone good, I'm happy for us to not get anyone. I think what we were lacking on Saturday can be fixed with the players we have, and when Shaw and Clyne are fit we can attack the flanks with our fullbacks a la Swansea.
Would like to add one more in. Need that strength in depth to do well over Xmas time. No training today, so why doesn't MP do some business.
On Arsenal, I imagine Wenger sees Flamini as the DM. From memory he's a bit more combative and vocal than what they have and I think Arsenal have missed someone like that. On Saints, I'd like a quick wide player but I have a feeling we're done.
It seems someone thinks we are interested in someone but doesn't say who..... http://www.givemesport.com/375001-saints-still-in-for-one-more?autoplay=on
Perhaps, but I wouldn't say we're totally reliant. Our best fullbacks will improve our wide attacks a lot, but I do think Lallana and Rodriguez are pretty good down the flanks.
Unless we see more of the very narrow diamond in which we spent most of the Norwich game; neither Jay nor Lallana were actually playing in wide areas when on the pitch.
Sources in Japan seem to believe Saints and 1. FC Nurnberg are in talks over a possible deal for Hiroshi Kiyotake. It's understood the clubs had agreed a fee earlier in the summer, however talks broke down over the player's reluctance to leave Germany. Now it seems the deal may come back to life. Complications could arise however, due to Kiyotake being away on international duty - so it remains to be seen whether the deal can be completed in time.
Nope last thing he said was we are still keeping busy and talking to other clubs. Heard nothing since so guess it hasn't changed.
