Okay guys and gals, I know this will never happen but possibly an interesting discussion point pending any news from CCS on the new manager front.

Pratley's contract is up at Swansea and they appear to be stalling on discussing a new one, to Pratley's frustration.

He denies talking to Bolton but says other Prem clubs like Wigan, Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton etc are showing some interest.

Purely hypothetically, if he wanted to stay in South Wales and the Jacks wouldn't discuss a new deal would we like him at CCS?

Personally, I think he is exactly the sort of player we have needed for several seasons, box to box, can tackle and score goals. I would snap him up if possible.

I know Forest have already signed him - FACT, LOL, but what do you think?

If he is that good then why are they stalling over a new deal and why wasn't he in the first team over the play-offs? :)

He would vastly improve our midfield but it would simply never happen

Can't see Pratley leaving the Swans - we will need his physical presence in midfield next year.

    Morning BFB,

Pratley would be a good addition to our squad, but he's more likely to fit a prem league team, there are a few clubs interested so he's morke likely to either sign a new deal with the jacks or move on.

Same reason any other play would contemplate moving down a division...first team football, not good enough for Premier League, controversially I will pose the thought that maybe Cardiff could possibly afford to pay more than Swansea, despite being in the Championship...bigger crowds, own the stadium, corporate events...

Don't you guys ever read the opening post, little clues like "I know this will never happen but possibly an interesting discussion point" and

    "Purely hypothetically".

The question was aimed at Cardiff fans and was "would we welcome him?" So Swans fans, untwist those knickers and leave it to us Cardiff fans to mull over. I posted only on the Cardiff board so there was no intention to WUM - unlike many Swans fans on this and other threads in the last week.

Selective reading on the part of some Swans Blue.

If this is the case, why hasn't he been playing for a Premier club and not a bit part player for a Championship side? (albeit no longer).
Now he is out of contract, BR would rather go climb a mountain than try to resign one of his 'Premier quality' players who could walk away on a free...seems strange to me.
I've said before, just because he is now with a Premier club, doesn't make him Premier quality. That has yet to be proved.

What was that you said about egomaniacs?

siam, i have to ask how many times you have watched pratley play to decide that he is not premier quality or are you just guessing on the couple of times you have seen him score against cardiff.
