Well no don’t call me an old fool, but about all this selling our best players and buying poor replacement stuff.

I look at it like this..

Ellis Short, very rich American businessman, would suggest that means not a fool.

Niall Quinn, very rich Irish footballer who understand the game and what’s more understands Sunderland and their supporters.

Steve Bruce, very rich football manager, no fool with vast experience. Understands that last season brought him to the brink of losing his job and fully aware of the importance of the coming season.

What would motivate these three men to decide on a policy that would take the club backwards, upset the fans, bring them massive unpopularity and before anyone says its all about making money. Yes in the very short term we could make a lot and spend a little, poor season and drop down or out of the prem, poor investment decision.

Maybe we should go with the flow and judge at the end of the window, not the begining.

Not calling foe wholesale changes, but they are all replaceable, as we are seeing with the Henderson saga.

As long as they are replaced with quality, let the heirarchy decide.

If a players wants out. I don't care who it is, we should sell for as much as we can.

Or we could just assume that he wants to stay, cos he's local.

Moronic decisions made throughout the history of the Premier League by key figures within MANY different clubs tells me that vast experience doesn't mean ****.

    He want's to go alright.
He could stop these rumors dead if he wanted with his four year contract.
