After asking Redgull to begin the threads due to the fine job he did today in posting up every selection I find myself starting it. Please feel free Oddy or Ron to nudge it down should Red offer to post.

The reason for my posting is I really wanted to get one up early as I feel the price may go.

    Sandown
    2.05 Joe Packett 8-1 EW

This horse has been on a winning mark for a run or two now but things have not turned out right for one reason or another, today he has a good draw, a great Jockey and is I feel a superb bet, as there are 16 runners it will also serve to go each-way as 4 places will be paid and even a place will show a profit. I fully expect him to win however, confident selection.

Anyone heard weather Prudent Approach has been declared for the group 1 on sunday against Kiyoshi? Bolger was supposedly deciding today weather to declare or not.

This may look stupid come 2.45 tomorrow but the price for MUSIC THEORY in the 2.40 sandown is crazy. I get the confidence behind the fav as it was mightly impressive but so was Music theory and I cant leave it unbacked at 7/2. I will follow this horse off a cliff.

Not declared although Bolger is becoming a bit of a Clive Brittain with some of his overfacing of fillies.

Still, they are his to own and train and black type is easier to find re the distaff side in Ireland.

Even more of a priority as an owner/breeder/trainer/vendor.

Morning all.... good luck everyone today....

I really like the look of Integral today at Sandown in the 3.15pm. 6/4 BPG.. Large win bet.

I have decided to also have a bit of fun with an each way patent and have done the following:-

    Sandown 2.05pm Lupo D'Oro 16/1 BPG
    Beverley 2.30pm Masamah 8/1 BPG
    Sandown 3.50pm Nemushka 18/1 BPG

Havent done one of those in years... so we'll see what happens

I have gone for two more at Sandown today, neither as confident as Joe packet but worth a wager nevertheless.

    Sandown
    3.50 Trade Commisioner 9-1 EW

Just hitting form I feel and can take this competitive handicap.
    5.30 Im from Goven 5-1
This is a big step up from his maiden win at Kempton but to say that win was eye catching is an understatement.

    Chester
    4.40 My Painter 6-4

This is my safest bet of the day, this horse ran very well first time up at Newmarket but it's the stable record in the race that makes it a must back selection.

I have started to log all selections on the opening post as Red did yesterday, Can't redict how able I will be to keep it updated but will do my best.

Morning all. The race that interests me most today is the list handicap chase at Newton Abbot. Looks pretty competitive and the early money is for the bottom weight. I like the chances of the Hobbs other entrant and top weight The Disengager. Ran a much better race than the bare form suggests lto at Galway where the ground was totally against him. He was up with pace most of the way and was heavily eased near the finish. At 10/1 he will not only be burdened with 11-12 but have to carry some of my cash. Buck Mulligan is also lining up in that race and is my over a cliff horse. Has been campaigned over longer last few starts and I think this is more his trip. I don't think he's got any secrets from the handicapper but I can't resist a little ew dabble at 16s.
Sun Central was pulled out of the Ebor last week because of the underfoot conditions. I'm not sure the Golden Square Shopping Centre Stakes at Chester offers too much of a consolation but I 'd be surprised if he's not involved in the finish and at 10/3 he will carry some of my cash. Good luck all.

I put up Tribes And Banner at Ballinrobe 3 day's ago where he was just caught on the line by Pires, today he will have another good chance to win at a track he has done so in the past, again 7/2 is fair and I think he should prevail here today 2:35 Killarney with a clear round.

15:20 Newton Abbot - Anton Dolin

(Disappointed LTO at Ffos Las but posted a decent speed figure penultimate start. Worth a small wager at current 11/4 generally available. Awkward sort, but might well do better in first-time blinkers, although left-hand track might not suit him it has to be said).

    GL all!

Disappointed Wentworth got scratched from 2 different events today at Sandown or Chester but there is another couple that i fancy.

4.05 Chester - Quatuor 7/1 EW - Noone knows Chester aswell as Tom Dascombe and this speedy filly has already won at the track. Has the best draw but has to concede weight all round here. Only paying 2 places but i cant be having this 1 out of the placings.
3.15 Sandown - Zibelina 5/2 - Thinking the fav may want further than this and taking it on with another unexposed type. Has a group 3 penalty to defy but should be more than up to the task.
