OK not a rumour but just for a laugh how many more players do you think will we sign up before 11pm on Monday. Zero, One, two or three? Also how many do we think Wenger will sign? so far he's only brought in Flamini this week on a free!

Saints won't sign anyone IMO. Arsenal will sign a few on deadline day as per usual.

I think we are done for this window! Also trying to guess what Arsenal will do regarding transfers is no easy task! But i am gonna go with one panic buy which is terrible

Just read this tweet on BBC Sportsday feed -

Southampton need a keeper its our weakest area Boruc/Davis great shot stoppers but need someone better to push on in the Premier League.

Who shall we go for then? Begovic? Buffon? Yashin?

I dont agree. Boruc is top drawer

Nonsense. Boruc is excellent.

Arsenal will splash the cash...I'm predicting that Wenger will prove the doubters wrong by bringing in two fee-paying loans.

I really do wonder how long it will take for other fans to catch up that Boruc has locked down our number one role and has performed brilliantly, so many seem to think we're still in the same situation we were this time last year with the keeper merry-go-round.

Yep I don't think Boruc has made a single error since the 6th minute of Arsenal at home, whoever it was that decided to sign him: thanks for keeping us up.

No more for Saints. If Arsenal want to compete at the top, they need as many as 3 or 4. Not because they are not a decent side, but because Arsenal fans expect more than just finishing near the top.

Can't see us going for a goalkeeper as any priority at the moment...Boruc is good and can be brilliant. May need one next year...to be our second keeper and push Boruc. I can't see Gazza stepping up (even though I'd be pleased if he did).

Exactly - it just reminds me that what we see is subjective - & sometimes I have no idea what other people are looking at.

How many more players are Saints going to need to get them up to say Arsenal or maybe City's Standard do you think? What I mean is to get us into a realistic chance of a top 4 place?

Each year we need to get 2 or 3 class players in and up our game. I like the fact that we are evolving and not just buying a new team. Some teams buy a star player, then adapt the team to get the best out of them. We have a style and in the last few years we have been good at integrating new talent.

Surely you don't mean in his window Beddy? If you do, then we also need a time machine to accelerate half of our players development by three or four years.

I reckon we will buy someone slightly leftfield on deadline day, what happened to that winger from Uruguay?

Arsenal - 2 more.

Saints to challenge for top 4? Probably 10 I'd say the huge difference between us and top sides is depth of squad, yes ours is improving but I saw a graphic of two teams spurs could put out both of which would arguably beat ours. We'll have a better answer to the question at the end of the season though!

Though I'd assume the goal would be top in a few seasons time at earliest so these singings won't be all at once.
