I take it you read that article on goal.com about him? Was decent and fair play to adu, shame they didn't get promoted
 
Probably not if he's playing 2nd division football in Turkey. Don't think he was ever that great, just that Nike wanted an American poster child and he was the first kid they found who could kick a football that hadn't been sat on.

No, I read a lot of BBC, ESPN, and SI.com. It obviously wasn't BBC, therefore it was one of the other two. But I think I read more than one article, so perhaps both. I'll go check out goal.com.

The prevailing theory about Freddy Adu these days is that he's another phenom who blew it and now it's too late. Except that he's still 22 - I mean, think about Lallana's age. We still expect growth out of Adam so why not more growth from Freddy? Especially if Freddy had too much smoke blown up his arse early on and got a big head, but lately he's matured and gotten himself together a bit more.

Don't forget - his head has been kissed by the great Pele himself!

As far as I know he isn't and never was a target for us <doh>

Just another rumour that means jack sh!t <ok>
 
Ok it is probably another rumour set up by our neighbors so should they actually sign him they can then crow that he preferred Pompey to Saints.
Oh dear the lengths some will go to annoy........<laugh>
 
Maybe they should sign Anthony Pulis while they're at it! They could brag about how they offer him more lucrative terms coz of their takeover ;)

We need a CB really.

I think midfield will be fine... Hammond, Schneiderlin, Chaplow, Gobern all competing for CM. Hammond isn't a bad player. He is similar to Schneiderlin and gets stuck in which is what you want <ok>


A CB, Str and maybe another winger is priority. That's all I think we need really <ok>

Defensively minded midfielder, but perfectly able to cover pretty much anywhere across the back line.

Not that I'm optimistic about getting him now that Pratley is almost definitely going to Bolton.
 
He could be signing right now. He's been at SMS all day and the OS doesn't make big announcements until 11.30 so they can't make the next day's Echo...
 
Couple of points on cork, He played right back when he came on today so he is incredibly versatile, he got a massive cheer from the saints faithful when he came on at half time. And was the only player to throw his shirt to the fans.... Something to chew on there lads and lasses!
