Only we would be stupid enough to risk key players ahead of the North London derby and then moan when we get thumped by the goons or we have players injured. Don't risk any key players, just play first teamers that need games, young players that need games as the opposition are dreadful, even obika would score.
I think there are certain rules for EL which are different to over here. Don't quote me but I think he has to be home grown to be considered as an U-21 player, otherwise he needs to be registered.
Yeah Charlton are a good team for him and he done pretty well there in his limited appearances. Got 2 or 3 late winners for 'em last season.
Kane, Coulthirst, Carroll and Fryers were on the bench for the first leg so they're certainly registered for our Europa squad.
If Holtby plays, hope we see more of this
He needs a run of games as soon as he's fit. He deserves as much of a chance as sig has had in that role seeing as he plays there for his country.
Take out Dawson and more then happy with that line up. We don't even have to win, there is no chance of us losing 5 nil so worst case is a silly loss by one goal so let's use it to get players like Sandro and kaboul up to speed.
==========Freidel Naughton, Dawson, Kaboul, Fryers =======Sandro Holtby =========Carroll Lennon====Defoe===Sigg or something like that.
Hi SOS, as I said, no problem against DT with that team. But Archie then said that's a decent Prem team, that's where I completely disagree. That back 5 is I repeat a nightmare waiting to happen, IMO if it ever featured as a regular 'first XI' in the prem. Only two of that 5 are Prem quality, IMO. Only one of that 5, is top quality. The whole would be eaten alive.
Our programme cover for tomorrow's game, apparently: please log in to view this image Good to see him back and hopefully he'll get another 90 minutes under his belt and continue his return to full fitness. Might see him and Chiriches playing together quite a bit in this competition, if all goes well.
I wouldn't play Defoe at all, I'd play Soldado to give him as much goal time as possible. Yes he's scored two penalties in the PL but he needs to get goals from open play and the more he plays the more he will get so play him to get him accustomed.
Soldado's already got two goals from open play. I think it's absolutely essential he doesn't play v DT. Put him on the bench by all means, but don't use him unless we're 3-0 down.
Defoe's going to need game time sooner rather than later, so start him against Tbilisi. Kane to come on if it's going well, Soildado if it's going astronomically badly.
If we bring him on straight away then things won't go astronomically badly. I want opposition defences to be scared of him and the two goals in open play were the EL not the PL as I mentioned. Play Soldado.
