When I was a kid my brother and myself used to amuse ourselves by wrapping a halfpenny in silver foil and putting it on the pavement outside the window for old codgers to pick up.To see the look on their faces when they discovered that their find had fallen in value by 96% was priceless.

this would only have worked in 1982 and 1983.

by the way, is the drop not 90%, rather than the 96% which you make reference to ?
