I always have Mondays off so bank holiday Mondays to me are a pain, I have to share the day with everyone else. I am guessing Elland is having a lay in today. So a good win at the weekend, are we batting above our station at present and what message do the early results and league position send to the board? A) We are doing well why sign anyone else. B) Imagine what we could achieve with just a couple more signings Has anyone got anything exciting planned for today?
Bank holidays should be banned Saw the match live (again, 3 weeks on the trot) out here, and we are punching above our weight, but there seems to be grit and determination in the side, Murphy seems to be settling down after four games, like the look of him ..... could he become our new Tony Currie??
Morning all. Agree, lots of dog but not enough quality. Board surely must be thinking point B. Just feel that when we run into teams with more quality we will be exposed. Concerned that yet again we have had to come from behind. Better teams will shut us out, and both goals on Saturday weren't from awesome creative play ... rather two hit and hopes that fell our way.
Good morning Important information for the Millwall fraternity if their massive haul of points this weekend encourages them to look in: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-23637225 LUTV not working again. Marvellous. If even a moron like me can see the weaknesses, BM must have a lot to work on - which I mean as a positive comment, i.e. we can keep improving. lets hope theres some more ins and outs as well, to strengthen the squad a bit more. I am worried about the QPR game, hope we don't get exposed for what we fear we are
Morning all Sorry there isn't a match thread for Donny, I'm away from home and the bloody laptop is on the blink. I should be able to stick a late one up tomorrow morning though. Normal service resumed for QPR!
Morning all. International break after qpr game so maybe we can sneak a win there and McD will have time to bed in the half dozen quality signings we will get in this week. Im just trying to sound a bit more like Bogger this morning
Morning all. So we have 1 more week of the Rosco saga. Luckily another goal continues to add value to him and price Boro out of the market. I think his new contract will be announced this week anyway. A great win on Saturday and we still have 2 points a game. League winning material that is......
Morning all The board is thinking A) We are doing well why sign anyone else. Anything else is just wishful thinking. But I have to agree that it would have been fantastic if they had the balls to go for it
Not much difference to previous transfer windows, rather than looking forward to who we might get we are yet again hoping for it to slam shut feeling it will be a bonus if we can hold on to our best players. Speaking of which; IF we don't sell Ross or Byram during this window, how far back do we need to look since it last happend? Since a transfer window came and went and we never sold one of our best or most promising?? From memory: Gradel, Johnson, Howson, Becchio, Beckford, Snodgrass, Delph - I make it at least 7 transfer windows so 4 years?
Morning Ristac, morning everyone else, yep, heavy night lst night, started with a bbq, finished with bottles of malibu, archers and vodka. Good times. Dare I say it, but I think we have turned a corner, or at least started it. Wins against Brighton and Ipswich, especially away from home. You never know, we could only be a signing or two away from a play off space
Good MORNING everyone amI the only one that thinks both are goals were lucky and that particularly in the first half we had no width on the right hand side leaving their left winger exposed
I've been saying it, thought we were lucky to win and that the formation doesn't work. Too much space out wide for opposition players
Afternoon all. You could never sound like me Eire. So a decent win over the weekend. This Saturday should give us an indication of how far we've progressed and what sort of season we can look forward to. Before that, we've got Donny in the Carlink cup. Me, I'd like to see the bench from Saturday all starting, as much to see how EHD has recovered & how Wooten does in a Leeds shirt. I'd start with Smith & Poleon up top, Diouf at the head of the diamond (free to do whatever he wants), Tonge and White either side in midfield, & Brown at the base of the diamond. Wooten could then play as one CB with Pearce as the other. Think we have to win to keep up momentum, & a strong bench that hopefully we won't need should be enough
Great news or testing the waters? @LUFC: Development #lufc team to face Huddersfield Cairns Byram Taylor (c) Coker Pugh, Thompson Norris Lenighan Dawson Walters Parkin
Wholly agree with you, 60. BM noticed too, which is why we played better when we then went flat 4-3-3, keeping their FBs occupied in their own half.
