Our Forum, our site - can you all remember when we first all came over here from BBC606, we had lost our base, our home, our habit, the old reliable format, we were a bunch of lost souls, we didn't know where to go, what to do, who to trust but most of us had one thing in common, we knew each other and we all wanted to band together and form our own culture and ways of doing the walk.
Some of us drifted to OTIB, Ziderheads, ja606 and various other sites but we all congregated here, there was no purpose, no motive, just a common theme, we wanted to talk about Bristol City FC, no controls, no elitism, no ultras, no special people banding together, just the normal supporters of our team leading the way.
We started to grow, our first mod was appointed,we had our problems but we endured and grew but we always maintained our individuality amongst fellow Red sites and a host of their people joined us and enjoyed what we had to offer, we then needed to appoint new mods, shiny and angelic joined and all areas of our membership was covered, old sods by me, shiny brought youth, buzz and fun, angelic covered the middle ground and balance, we still continued to grow..
We have to accept that all points of view contribute to our development as a Bristol City forum, we must maintain our culture which we have developed but be prepared to embrace all factions of our football club.
My thoughts are, be proud of where we are, we must have done something right to attract all of these differing points of view and have a growing membership, let us develop and grow but remember why we all got together in the first place and maintain our 606 culture and what we believe in.
Growing pains are a necessary thing but we are Bristol City fans and not Bristol City factions, all Reds are welcome on this forum, our whole membership is paramount and important and they will continue to be so..
