Willian is quality, but where the hell do they all fit in? Surely we have bigger priorities? Maybe a C.B and a striker would have been more pressing??
A guy I know who is usually savvy with all of this says the story originated from Sky, who have made it up to fiddle their SkyBet odds.
Who knows.
Doubt it's made up considering Mou just pretty much confirmed the move in the pc.
I think they're talking about the story regarding Mata leaving.
As I said in another thread, the biggest thing wont necessarily be losing the stats of Mata, but Man Utd GETTING the stats of Mata.
Mata has managed to make Torres look decent before with his assists.....imagine him supplying a real striker in RVP.
If we give Mata to Utd, it doesnt matter if we get 9 Rooneys, Utd will have completed their jigsaw.
Despite Jose's interest in Rooney there is no way Chelsea would sanction a deal losing Mata to Utd.
I sincerely hope you are right!
While the Attacking options in midfield are many and indeed IMO the envy of the league:
De Bruyne
Oscar
Hazard
Mata
Ramires (gets his fair share of goals)
Lampard (who despite getting on will still play a role under Jose)
van Ginkel
Chelsea would be crazy to allow IMO the best Attacking midfielder from last season to leave to a rival. Mad.

Add Schurrle and Moses to that list too!!

I don't think recruiting policy is entirely up to Jose. My guess is his reconciliation with Roman is partly his acceptance that as far as transfers go he gets to ask who he wants or the type of player he wants and the board come back with a list of possibles. They then go off to seal the deal. Plan B to a Rooney move may have been buy Willan and use Schurrle as a deep 'faux' striker.
Exactly what I said at the start of the season and even before when targets were being drawn up and Jose reinstated. He doesn't control transfers and I'd be very surprised if there is a manager out there who does.
I think Arsene Wenger does, but that hasn't exactly worked out well for Arsenal in recent times has it![]()
