I guess the same could be said for the Not606 southampton board as well then...

I don't know anyone on here who is actually serious about the pacy cb hype.

Apart from me.

The only reason I want Papa Waigo back is because I want him in a 3-5-2 with Dede and Biabiany.

It's going to be difficult for Waigo to stray offside as a Centre Back, what's the point of buying him if you can't use his best asset?

Hull boss Steve Bruce believes the spending power of Norwich City and Southampton means clubs are ready to gatecrash the Premier League's top six, denting his own side's chances of Premier League survival.
The Tigers face Chris Hughton's Norwich in their first game at the KC Stadium since returning to the top flight, and will face Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, who joined for a club record £10.7million from Sporting Lisbon, while the Saints splashed out £15million on Dani Osvaldo.
But Bruce wants to try and follow his old club's lead in trying to become Premier League regulars, although he admitted it is on a much smaller budget than many of his rivals.
"We all know who is going to be in the top six but Norwich and Southampton are doing their best to try and bridge that gap if they can," said Bruce.
"Make no mistake, with the resources that these clubs have got, the squads they've got, it is very, very difficult for us all to try to compete.
"But clubs like Norwich, Southampton and West Brom have invested a hell of a lot of money. Everyone has strengthened and that's the difficulty when you first come up into the Premier League.
"I wish I could spend £15million on a centre-forward but that's not possible - we've got to cut our cloth."

I think the disparity in money between the Football League and Premier League is going to come in for a fair bit of critiscm if the 3 promoted teams drop this year. The gulf just gets bigger, goes to show again that last year was a real bad year to go down.

Thing is though ,I thought that that the financial bubble will burst one day , and LOTS of teams ( hopefully not us ) will be stuffed !

However the money keeps coming !

The disparity is wrong , but what are teams in the divisions below us meant to do about it ?

What CAN they do about it ?

Time for the FA to step in and support the other divisions , bet nobody has suggested that before :-(........................................

Can anyone recommend a good but VERY slim pair of PC speakers ?

Just got a new wide screen monitor , and current speakers don't fit .

Taller and slimmer the better , budget of up to £50.00

Football league boycott day. Every fixture in the entire football league is boycotted by ALL fans both home and away.

They'd have to listen then. It won't happen though.

Palace was a shock promotion, and they're playing it rather safe with their spending (Gayle notwithstanding). Hull seems to be content with banking the majority of the money, as well. Cardiff's thus the real test, IMO; they aren't mortgaging the future with their spending, but they haven't been shy about flexing that newfound financial muscle, either. If their signing look like decent value and they still cannot keep their heads above water, the disparity becomes a concern.

It will also be worth watching to see whether we get more yo-yo clubs as a result. Newly-promoted teams have been more than holding their own in recent years, and the Championship has been one surprise after another...it certainly has not been dominated by those cashing parachute cheques.

You could have a salary cap, although that's probably too yankee for us Brits.

Just went to see Elysium. Had a fantastic nap.

Haha, I just got back from it as well.

There were loads of things I really liked about it, but the end product is an average film. Jodie Foster's english accent has to go down as the worst in cinema history.

Nottingham Forest have ended all contact with the media.

BBC Nottingham, The Nottingham Post, Sky. All of them.

No press conferences or opportunities for the media to do features etc.

Only content will be on their official website. That's it.

That is mental. Surely this will affect sponsorship deals etc.?
