It seems that we had a lunch today to launch Thanks a Million.

Bobath Wales £25000

Scope £15000

Have not found out all the others yet <ok>

Good on him and you! That is great news and can only enhance the clubs reputation locally and in the wider context of British football!

I feel that all organisations, not just football clubs, have a responsibility to help the communities that support them. I produce a SCFC fanzine that is not for profit, and also a platform for other fundraising events - last season we raised £3,000+ and this season, due to charity gigs myself and my bro (both semi-pro muso's) had organised we have already raised over £1,000 before a ball was kicked. SCFC have also supported us and many of the players work tirelessly for charities!

Tan has been true to his word financially, and this latest initiative is to be applauded by all! It is great to see football clubs acknowledge the fact that they have a responsibility to the wider community. Our wonderful sport attracts too many negative headlines and I would like to think that things like this go some way to redress the balance. It's just a pity that journo's prefer the negative stuff - they labour under the theory that bad news is what they should be reporting, instead of shouting about stuff like this!

So well done Mr Tan and Cardiff City - these kind of stories should transcend the sensationalist crap that the media thrive on. Would be nice if reporters realised that some people actually like to read about the positive rather than dwelling on negatives!!

you will proud to know that swamp has partly sponsored a person trying to get a start in business through a site called Kiva.com, well done swamp

Just give this a bump to remind people of how the Media like to portray VT and Cardiff City.

Well done Eldon

Tan does some weird things and some we don't like, but this character assassination of him is a bit too much and needs to be tempered with some common sense.
