If that part about the clause in O-C's contract is true, then that's ridiculous.
They're in desperate need of someone to run their transfers. I started a thread about it over on their board, as it's plain to see, but wasn't being mentioned.
 
so, in theory if he played 80mins in every prem game (unlikely i know as he is injured) then Saints get £1.5m? Is that over the duration of his contract?

Its a shame that the deal for Bale was done by our previous chairman, we had a big sell on but traded it for cash up front and for Tommy Forcast, who we have just got off our books after being paid for 3 years and not playing a single minute. To be fair we were royally up the **** and Bale never wanted to leave but we had to sell. We never wanted to sell Oxo but his twat of a dad turned his head, so we had Arse over a barrel.

yeah, that was a bad choice, especially with hindsight.
