Nixon now arguing that our signings last season were poor. It's been pointed out that Boruc, Clyne, Davis, Rodriguez and Yoshida could hardly be considered that. His counter argument being that Clyne was on the bench and Yoshida wasn't even in the squad. Whatever happened to journalistic integrity?

It does, that seems more of a tactical thing than personnel though. Presumably Alderweireld would be up for the corner anyway. I think it was Poyet who said Jenkinson obviously thought there was someone behind him, but as they were chasing the game they had an extra man up for the corner, which makes sense as an explanation to me. Seems like a lack of tactical awareness in the first game of the season which I guess can happen.
