Even the bairn said to me, "dad, how many interviews are they gonna do?" They spent more time with those than they did with the highlights.
On that game how on earth they can say Fulham will be fine and are worried for us. As for MOTD. Frigging embarassement to TV. liverpool game showing hawkeye or whatever it's called. ball 3 yards out, graphics bollocks, " NO GOAL" well I fooking never.
The BBC have two of the most tired uninteresting sports programmes on tv right now. The first is A qUestion of sport, that really is pathetic and the second is Motd just so dull and well rubbish.
.....keep going on about 'big spending Sunderland'? Our spend so far minus the money coming in from sold players cannot be much more than 3 or 4 million. When Southampton can spend more than our total spend twice so far, when Cardiff and Swansea can spend more than our total spend on one player and when the top six are talking of 40 million pound plus deals how is it we are labelled 'big spenders' With the millions coming in from sky, millions from ticket sales, about 5th best in the premier, and millions coming in from sponsors, concerts and marketing how have we only spent about 4 million net this transfer window? We need a big marquee signing such as Southampton have made. I know the mags haven't done much but to be fair, their starting 11 is a little better than ours although I reckon our bench looks a bit stronger than theirs. We are starting from a weaker position than many of our competitors (for mid table) and we should be getting better players in. Our midfield has 3 creative players, sess, adam and notarianni. Fletch and Alti look good and Cabral looks the business. If Wes plays with Jos then that's fine and that Czech lad could be ok. Carlsberg looks promising and I've yet to decide what Roberge, Diakite and Ba are like. One or two 10 million plus players are needed, Danny could be one and a top midfielder is a must. Does anyone have a table of the net amounts spent in the premier league?
Its probably the worst phrase used in journalism "big spending", name me one team who doesn't spend big in the PL? (Arsenal don't count haha) Theres nothing wrong with spending money because its a MUST, you would simply be relegated if you didn't spend.
if pdc had a rant at the media would we support him or say hes a loose cannon, i wonder. i think he would be in order to point out a few facts to all , or somebody should from the club, the recent so called reporting is so far away from the facts its not even lazy its almost slanderous .
PDC has already pointed out to the media he would like 5 more players but knows it's impossible. He has also pointed out that they have done very well in the transfer market but have spent less than previous season. (Hint hint)
Here is a very good site for transfer details. As Charley mentioned, we have not spent very much. http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/sunderland-transfers.html
The press are made up of either Southern - West Ham loving C@nts or Northern Newcastle loving Tw@ts. Just my astute observation.
According to this site we have spent £4,880,000 more than we have taken in. How much do we get from sky, tickets, marketing, sponsorships, concerts and shirt sales etc? How can Southampton spend 8 times as much as us (on two players only) with crowds of around 25,000?
Its just typical lazy journalism, equating numbers of players coming in with spend, not doing their homework, ignoring free-transfers in, etc. Do you really expect anything else from the southern press?
Because Southampton have forgotten what happened to their nearest rivals (Pompey). Having said that , we should have spent a bit more , but I think we will spend soon.
