Fair to say we needed to spend more than others to improve what was a Championship squad. The existing Prem clubs have had the time to build and have evolved.
We've outspent the other promoted clubs Hull and Palace by a huge factor. Can't say that our owner hasn't committed himself to staying in this division.
I don't think the spending table will be the same come 2nd September - some of the big guns have yet to fire - but I also don't think Malky and Vince have finished yet either.
