Not interested in stopping to your level, but thanks anyway.

Spending £5m in the Championship is suicide, care to point me in the direction of another Championship team that is prepared to spend this one one player? Fernandes is still a fat man in a toy shop. Although saying that, your free transfers haven't exactly been inspiring either.

Blackburn. And who doesn't want to be compared with them?

Oh g'wan, "stop" to my level.
For one, no other championship side has owners as wealthy as ours. If we're being honest, "Spending £5m in the Championship is suicide" is a bit of an over reaction isn't it? Picking up Celtics top scorer would've completely doomed us to relegation/liquidation?
5 mill for an absolute premium level championship striker is a snip in my opinion- given the rewards promotion to the prem brings. Twenty goals a season is goldust.
It sounds like we can't win then bandit, what's wrong with the free transfers? Most observers think the likes of dunne/o'niel/simpson on frees is just the tonic the club needs. You must know something everyone else doesn't though?
But you're right, Fernandes is a fat man :emoticon-0148-yes: (stooping?)

Leicester have a wealthy chairman, but you can only spend this sort of money for so long before it bites you on the ass. £5m for a Championship club is indeed incredibly risky, you aren't in the PL anymore you know, with the wages you are still paying, I'd have thought your chairman would want to save money on transfer fees. Ok, the free transfers. Simpson is an OK player who will probably do well in the Championship (his level) but the others? Fringe players at their clubs who are all on excessive wages, and more importantly, if you go up this year, they will all need to be shipped out and replaced in a years time.

Planning for the future? Hardly.

Resorting to grammatical mistakes in an argument? Want to mention our away support while you're on the topic of bringing up subjects that have no relevance to this conversation?

Has the Taarabt signing actually officially happened yet?

Been trying to get him in my fantasy team but noticed he's a) still not at Fulham on there (they usually update within a day of transfers becoming official) and b) Couldnt find any news on the official fulham site.

Haha, that definetely would suggest it's been done. Good bit of business on loan.

If you can get him to work hard and stop being a ......... he has the talent to be one of the world's best players.

As a QPR fan of many years, the bloke is a dud. He's had 2 seasons and 3 managers in the prem to show what he can do, and he's failed miserably.
I was one of the (very) few who said he couldn't cut it at the top level. The NPC is woefull and even Barton looks good now.
He will show a bit of amazing skill very occaisionally and has skill in abundance. Just not got the right head to become anything other than a great NPC player or steady Prem player.
He'll win you a match one week and then lose you the next 3.

Good luck with him and hope it works for you guys. I for one think you'll have returned him by Christmas...

PS..The goal he scored at LR against you guys was due to a lucky rebound of your midfielder. it was nothing special and he got lucky.

Good luck guys, I have many friends that are FFC. Haste to see ruin your progress, but if Rufus can be a success, then I suppose anyone can !!LOL

PS, what did ever happen to Tigana, really rated him? <ok>

In answer to the Tigana question, he hasn't exactly covered himself in glory since he left us.

In October 2005, he signed a two and a half year contract with Turkish side Beşiktaş. During that same season, Beşiktaş won their first Turkish Cup in eight years. Immediately after winning the 2007 Turkish Cup, Tigana announced that he was to leave at the end of the season. In fact he left with two games to play, after a contract termination agreement with the club board.

In May 2010, Tigana joined Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, replacing Laurent Blanc. He announced his resignation in May 2011, after a severe defeat against Sochaux (0-4) and verbal aggression from fans against his daughter, who was in the stadium at the time.

In December 2011, Tigana took over as coach Shanghai Shenhua but in April 2012, Tigana resigned after a run of poor form leaving the Chinese club in the bottom 5 of its domestic league.

On the subject of Tigana, now that MAF is no longer the chairman, I think he should be welcomed back. Best football I've ever seen at FFC was under his leadership.

By welcomed back, I mean as a guest, as MAF refused him entry to the ground I had assumed due to the compensation case?

BBC London interview by Brede......
Fulham midfielder Adel Taarabt could prove to be a key signing for the club if he allies hard work to his ability, according in captain Brede Hangeland.
The 24-year-old Morocco international has joined on a season-long loan from Championship side QPR.
Hangeland told BBC London 94.9: "I'm very excited to have him on board and it was a welcome surprise for us.
"It will be down to him to prove he can be consistent and work hard. His talent is unquestionable."
Can we play you every week?
Of Adel Taarabt's five Premier League goals last season, three came against Fulham, including both in QPR's 2-1 win at Loftus Road in December

He added: "He caused us a lot of problems playing for QPR last season so I am happy he is on our team now."
Fulham lost 2-1 to Italian Serie A side Parma on Saturday in what was their final pre-season friendly.
The centre-back is wary the Cottagers will need to improve ahead of their first match of the Premier League season, away to Sunderland on Saturday.
"I didn't think we played particularly well, especially in the second half," the Norway international, 32, said.
"In the first half we showed the type of football we are capable of playing and that's what we need to try and do a bit more often.
