It would be nice to not see Bullard as our record signing. Apparently the fee for Huddlestone is around £6m...
Sunderland have already signed El Hadji Ba and Cabral, they'll have to shift a fair few players to bring Huddlestone in and be able to play him. If talks are at an advanced stage, I'd expect us to see it through. I know who I'd rather work for. Livermore would also be a great signing, he can create and defend.
This would impress me hugely. This is the kind of signing that would give us a hugely improved chance of staying up. Please let it happen.
Nah, Billy Liar will be there to tell Huddlestone the KC has a 45,000 capacity, that he will get him a £10m yacht moored on Hull Marina right next to Adnan Khashoggis, and a soapytitwank from Sarah Beeny!
With these 2 our midfield would go from our weakest area to our strongest, £6m is arguably overpaying (includes loan fee apparently) but if you look how much the other clubs are paying - palace with Gayle and Cardiff with everyone it doesn't look like bad business at all.
Where did you hear that? I said I'd heard the same 2 days ago but nobody believed me: ...as for Huddlestone and Livermore; I hope these 2 signings come off as they will really make us a much more solid, premier league quality side.
Well i hope the meeting with Huddlestone is taking place down Spring Bank West , theres no easy way out of there right now i think i saw him in the BP garage earlier sipping on a forty ! we get these two then we have a squad capable of making a fist of any match in the Prem .
Nothing really new but it does say record signing. 6 mill then I would say. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-19651581-detail/story.html?#axzz2brtzivGp
Huddlestone is good mates with Davies, i remember Davies saying on twitter how much Tom would improve us when he signed
6 million is not overpaying for Huddlestone, he's a fantastic talent and would be a real coup for a club of our stature. If it includes a loan fee for Livermore then that's even better business. And if its true and it all comes off, the best bit is they'll already have an understanding built between them so we'll get off the ground running with a central midfield that works together where others may still be gelling and learning each other. Won't believe it til it's official, as many have said it all sounds too good to be true, but so did signing Aluko last season, and with the shenanigans of the last week in mind the Allams need to salve some sore wounds, so it's definitely got legs as far as I'm concerned.
I also remember this, I also remember us all cowing over laughing about how that would never happen It still probably won't, we're a deluded bunch now aren't we...
To be honest, I always expected a "big name" signing, what is they say, bury bad news (name change) with some outstanding good news?
Has anyone asked her? She's a pretty big City fan - I'm sure she'd be happy to add a soapytitwank to the mix.
If this does happen then what a couple of pieces of business by Bruce. Huddlestone is quality. Livermore was also in the England squad not long ago. considering the money this will cost it is well worth it. To spend the little Money we have and the quality of players we have brought in is very promising.
Except for you, just then, no. I wouldn't have thought we'd bring anybody in that we couldn't afford. Even so I think being a starting player will bring with it bonuses and add ons, so I doubt his wage will be extortionate.
