1st point is valid, second is not seeing as when the players we bought we could afford them.

Now on to the question I asked. Was Nathan Dyer, the "professional" come petty thief, a supporter of your club?

No idea. He was born in Wiltshire.

One for Herminator, sadly full pitch run whilst cupping hand to ear is edited out.
Bridge is 100% Saints

I've heard Wade Elliot, Brian Howard and Brian Stock are all Southampton fans, though I've no idea if that's true or just "they were brought up in the area so let's assume" stories.

Following this logic - isn't Wayne Bridge from Southampton?

Pretty sure Wade was, Steve Basham was definitely a Saints Fan.

There was this blonde defender who played for pompey, he used to go to Saints matches as a kid. I can't remember his name, but he made the headlines not long ago for being handy with his elbow.

Edit: I'm pretty sure his name is Ben Thatcher.

Here is my all time "Southampton" team

Maik Taylor
Tom Parker-Graham Roberts-Franny Benali-Wayne Bridge
Terry Paine-Graham Baker-Andrew Surman-Nick Holmes
Martin Chivers-Ted Drake

Oh Andrew Surman, one of the few good things to come from the dark days of 2007-2009. Those 2 seasons were woeful, but we were woeful playing attractive football with a very young squad. I hope it all works out for him at Bournemouth, and I hope he takes on the offer from South Africa about playing in the national side.

Wade Elliot went to Toynbee, still has family about 2 minutes down the road from there!

Qwerty has the potential to be the next England manager if he insists on playing us all out of position. As far as I am concerned my right foot is for standing on.
