Not surprised you spend so much time here Tobes when the last post on the Everton forum was over a week ago! Time to find a new hobby and a team with some supporters! That place is a joke.
He's said definitively he won't be sold, so how can he sell him & retain credibility? As for winning, not sure how keeping hold of a player who's openly in dispute with the club who's earning £100k per week & who's value will plummet after this window is "winning" but in the land of the Kopite logic is scarce
Tobes comes on here for an argument- whatever you say he'll disagree. He seems to find that entertaining, but after a couple of pages of "you're an idiot" "no, you're an idiot" posts it gets a bit boring imo.
Can't someone just ban the troll and send him back under the bridge where he belongs? Feel like we need a UV ray gun.
It's a forum saint I post my opinion & will make a reasoned case that backs it up. I don't seek conflict but I never run away from it! I often agree with posters & say it. David gives me stick on ocassion (hic) & I give the old twat some back, not arsed mate
I'm of the understanding that I'm insane for thinking likewise, but he's already surpassed Forlan's international goalscoring record - even with Super Noodle-hair and Cavani, he's guaranteed a place in the squad for 2014. As long as he keeps fit he's a shoo-in.
Sometimes you do but sometimes you seem to argue for the sake of it, mate. There's a difference between having an opposing opinion and just taking a contrary stance for the hell of it. Having a reasoned case isn't that big a deal- in school over 40 years ago we practised pro and con arguments- it's easy. No matter, as you say, it's a forum and you can say whatever you like within reason. By the same token I can say it's boring wading through a load of childish name-calling trying to discuss something.
So I get called "Mystic Meg" for talking about current transfer activity, but you happily tell us what Suarez's value will be in a couple of windows' time... Bitter hypocrisy. Suarez is getting paid his wage without playing for us for the next couple of months anyway, might as well try a bit of "bad cop" routine on him until his ban is nearly up
@saintanton, to be fair on Tobes there is a pattern developing on this board. Any opposition supporter that gets into a 'debate' with Dave ends up getting agitated & wound-up about it. I know Dave would like to think its because he is the fountain of all knowledge and that his arguments & thoughts are a 100% factual & accurate but I'd say its down to his patronising of any poster that has the cheek to dispute his thoughts.
It's not really an issue that needs a crystal ball to predict though is it mate? If he doesn't play or does but somewhat half arsed his value will drop. His contract will also be running down, next summer with only 2 years left he'd be worth less than today with 3 remaining that's not subjective opinion it's merely common sense (hence why it's evaded you mate)
Not sure you are totally correct, his value will not go up but i have heard a few people add a bit of sound logic to this debate, If we sell Suarez to a near rival who is currently better than us we weaken our team and strengthen theirs. We are already behind the teams above us but with Suarez we have an outside shot at fourth or fifth this season. If we managed fourth then Suarez's value to Liverpool is massive and probably more than we can actually put a price on and whilst his value will undoubtedly drop - if we gain access to CL then the money will offset the loss and also help us attract a better replacement.
