Im sure we have plenty of other targets. We just dont know about them yet. In an ideal world we would bring in a ST and a CB, but even if we don't we have done some good business.
A bit of different note, but in a couple of minutes we got Feyenoord - FC Twente coming up, it's sort of a window shopping game. Pick your talent sorta thing. Starts at 11:30, so that's right about now. Links: http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=211469&part=sports

Mixed news on Hooper - first scan clear but another being done tomorrow: http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=328338
Or bruising interfering with the clarity of the first scan? I doubt if it would need a second opinion in Hooper's case; on the other hand, given that Leroy Fer's move to Everton in January was called off for medical reasons, a 2nd opinion on the completeness of his recovery would be perfectly reasonable.
Doubt if they suspect a "severe" injury to his shin bone; maybe a hairline fracture or such like. But I'm not a medic. Canary Rob seems to know a bit about this sort of thing; or surgeryman might be able to tell us about scans and bruising.
It does sound as if Quag wants to go to the NE and be part of the Di Canio party. What does seem plain and simple though is Juve want/need to sell him and do not want to loan him or Matri out. They need the cash!
That seems to be the constant theme running through this saga, despite all the kite flying to the contrary. Matri I haven't heard much reference to, apart from the fact that Juve are looking to off-load him.
I only know a little because my parents are doctors. Certainly nothing insightful. X-rays only show up bones, so any bruing to the muscle won't show up. However I know that you can bruise your bone, which is incredibly painful and would put him out or a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if a bruise to the bone could conceal a small fracture though (that would put him out longer I think). My bes guess is that the second scan is an MRI, which shows damaged tissue. They aren't as easy to carry out. That could mean they are either looking at the extent of the bruising, or theyare checking for soft tissue damage. Assuming he hasnt hurt a muscle, this is essentially as good news as a nasty injury an be - he should be back in no time, with no lasting effects. My initial fear was ankle or knee ligamets which as we know can end a career, or at least ruin the quality (Owen)
Interesting piece of information from the pre-season dinner last night, know a guy who sat next to JR and threw every question he could think at him. Apparently there were 4 bids made for Ruddy the highest of which was £9m+a top lonee for the year. The club said to ruddy they would sell him if he wanted, he said that he didn't want to leave but if the club wanted the money he would go and after that the matter was closed.
