You didn't pay what you owed at the time - but I'm sure you'll deny that fact.
Legality over morality ?
Not in my book.

If thats what you believe, but whats the point in me reiterating what Bony has already explained, and yet you still don't seem to listen, you really are a small minded individual harping on about the same old thing, if we still owe so much money then please tell us who we owe, or are you just jumping on the band wagon of others on here that say we still owe money when you have no evidence of this.

Just for you one last time, then I'm finished with you.

I said "owed" past tense not "owe" present tense.
Hope that clears it up for you!

Im so glad, well done on working that out, 'owed' that's correct so why are you lot saying we still 'owe'?

You owed Langstone how much? You paid how much of it? You owe how much now?

Current owner Vincent Tan last week insisted a deal with Hammam to finally settle the £24m debt was just 'days away' .

And WaelsOnline understands that deal was agreed today with the final sum being paid £15m and Hammam accepting a role at the club in an advisory capacity.

So whats that, 62p in the £1? And you have the cheek to criticise us for our debts. Am sure ours do not even equate to £9m being wiped clean.

I see, you're just the stooge for Boney, no point in communicating with you anymore then.

Boney, if you're not denying you owed money then I don't see the point in this thread except for nitpicking.
With the ongoing problems between us on this board, this is in bad taste to say the least, it just encourages animosity, and we don't need to encourage that, we have a plentiful supply already.
You owed money and you didn't pay it, people suffered because of it, thats life.

What is in bad taste ? this is for debate and I hope not going to head into another 'battle" , I've been around long enough to have heard and read all the comments about us not paying up ,admittedly it wasn't the clubs' finest moment but the best was done with the financial resources available at the time , and again I hear this 10p in the pound when in fact it was 37p in the pound where possible.

Of course there was money owed by to individuals and businesses but describe the club as "ripping " people off is a different matter. The CVA was a legal arrangement and agreed by the creditors by a majority of 92.4% ,which two points should be highlighted, Democracy and Legality, the former was a vote by each creditor and the latter a legal arrangement, so how any one was 'ripped off' would suggest a bent legal bench and vote rigging, none of which was ever mentioned at the time .
The NHS Trust were one of the creditors who voted against the arrangements but due to the majority being in favour then the lost the vote. The Police declined to submit a proxy vote and therefore gave up any claim to monies owed .

Therefore, those that could afford to write off the debt were fine, those that couldn't had to accept it. Sometimes democracy sucks when you are at the wrong end of the food chain.

Why does this matter? You guys took the legal way out, same way many retailers have recently, and cleared what you owed and started again. Yes it wasn't paid in full, but does it matter...

Getting tired of this constantly, you ripped so and so off. We don't know who was owed what... So what does it matter, unless you were personally owed money by the club.

/rant over

McClaren - it was brought up by a Jack on our board, and although you're right about this constant crap we get subjected to, it is relevant because of that.

I can't believe how anyone can make a virtue out of going to the wall twice.

As for the small guys affected, applications to gain a 75% approval majority to enter a cva is like holding a gun to the head of minor creditors whilst asking them.

The Swan's chequered history in the past is often used as fair wumming material. Unfortunately, the basic facts can't be changed - they went tits up twice and it hurts them whenever it's mentioned. Not saying it's right to bring it up constantly, but it's the usual tit for tat forum rhetoric.

The only comebacks we get are not facts, just wishful thinking.

They drone on about VT's intentions for the future, and us selling our history, whereas in reality, they'd wish to God they didn't have their own dubious one to look back on.

Sorry Sparkey, wasn't aimed fully at our posters, was also aimed at the swans.

I just don't see the reason for either side to bring it up..... Hey ho :) back off the soapbox :)

Does it really matter! I find it is the only thing Cardiff fans can say about our club! Most Cardiff fans are just jealous and so would I be if was a Cardiff fan!

The only thing I'm jealous of is that the Jacks have 2 boards and we only have half of one!

Never pretended it didn't happen but just someone to present a few facts would be nice. (and no the Guardian doesn't count).

Bony imo you have set a presidence with this comment. You asked for proof and a link was provided
Now you say the newspaper report doesnt count because you dont agree / like / believe the article. To save embarressment in the future dont bother linking to any media items relating to Cardiff City to your posts as they wont be believed however true they may be.

In reality though, we fans(both sets) have little or no control as to what happens to our clubs, it's ok to use as a bit of banter, but it's all getting out of hand.
We should be the best of rivals, not the worst of enemies.
There was a time when the second thing you checked in the football echo was how the other welsh teams got on, actually hoping they done well, somewhere along the line that changed.

Totally agree. It's all history and everyone will have a different view depending on who they support.

We can't change what happened years ago so lets just move on and focus on the Prem season that is before us. I'm sure we will find many more things to have "friendly" chats about. <ok>
