Just a daft thread about getting old but staying young. A few days ago I was walking through the park near my house and a group of lads were on the footy pitch kicking a ball about, aged around 15/16, the lads not the ball. The ball came over to me so I ran, well shuffled, a little with it, I was one of them back to my youth and ready to spend some time kicking about with them. I looked up ready to shout," Come on, get it off me if you can, lets be having ya". Then I looked up and saw a group of lads, standing with that look on their faces that said,"Come on old man, give us our ball back". Funny how everyone else sees a different body to the one you see in your minds eye. Off to take my medication now.
Syd not as old as you but know excatly what you mean still feel like I'm 18-19 but problem is my body won't let me act like that any more no matter how hard I try want to, went to a gig a couple of moths ago went down the front fell over and broke me collar bone, ach well it happens to all of us.
made me laugh out loud. My lady is from Glasgow, Knightswood, but been down here 6 years now. We still go up to visit her family.
Lol Totally agree that i still think i can play like George best but my body says **** off you silly old bugger I also learnt a long time ago that i thought i could still pull the birds untill one 25 year old said "Did'nt you go to school with my mum"
I can empathise with all the sentiments here .... Did I really run around for 90 minutes? Was I really just 10 stones? Was I ever not an XL ?
Well if my memory serves me correctly... You were around 6 when my old man was born and about 9 when my mam was born? Early starter?
yes but how old was I when you were born? and my grandson is very unsure about me being his grandad, school plays for a 6 year old, granda in old rocker clothes no socks, I never wear socks.
