Someone somewhere claimed that he'd had a scan earlier in the week and is genuinely injured. Bale's agent has been typically obstructive and refused to clarify the issue, preferring to hint that his client may or may not be refusing to play. He's shafted himself though, as he's claimed that he might also miss the Wales game, which seems to weigh things towards an injury.
