if we could sneak an extra player on the pitch it would help us attack with more fluidity. worth a try?
As far as I know, yes. Page 227: El Hamdaoui seriously impeded Frank de Boers reign in the locker room. De Boer didn't have it and send him the reserves and was eventually sold cheaply to Fiorentina. The guy has brilliant technique. Made some of the best goals I've seen in my life. Some a la Bergkamp to give an indication. He is agile, quick on his feet and most of all, his positioning an creativity are brilliant. Now here are his flaws: Massive ego, bad tamper, individualistic, slow, selfish, complacent and a bad attitude. Not just at Ajax, at AZ Alkmaar as well. He then had to deal with Louis van Gaal, who has the biggest ego in Europe so that worked for him. At Ajax he did well under Martin Jol who didn't seem to care. Frank de Boer did, and put him in exile.
Is Fer going to be a permenant Kamara? He has just posted this @LeroyFer8: Just woke up, with a laugh on my face. Last game of the Pre-Season. Can't wait to see all the fans again, on Carrow Road!! #OTBC #NCFC
O/T. NCFC Twitter account just tweeted Russell Martin is Club Captain and Sebastien Bassong as Team Captain
RVW yes. Very keen. Fer kind of so so at present, I think he'll be good defensively, can't see it working with him as a creator at the moment. I didn't go today however so I have no idea how he played.
I think he is confident enough on the ball to provide to an extent. I do think we desire another creative spark in midfield but I think Leroy Fer's bursts forward will be assist in some goals this season. Similar to Yaya Toure's role at City, I think Fer could do the same for us. When I say that I don't think Fer is of the same ilk of Toure, just though I would put that disclaimer in there.
I think Hoopers injury today just cements the fact we need one more striker, quality striker, if he is out for a few match's and god forbid RVW picks up a knock then we're ****ed ! With only two half decent first choice strikers in the squad we are defo a bit light in no's.
Cardiff have just gone big again, 11m on a Chilean midfielder from Seville called Medel Malky has Certainly gone for quality rather than quantity in this window Apparently he is nicknamed the pitball !
Agree that another striker is the priority, now, even if Hooper is OK. City have four CBs, but only 3 strikers. Quagliarella is now saying he doesn't want to leave Italy. Is it time to move on now?
