Ok ****stick, if you want a well structured insightful reply here's my view on things (written through an admittedly beer fuelled haze)

My grandfather went to the first game at Boothferry park (and many more before that), he took my dad to see city in the 50s and he subsequently followed them home and away for decades. My dad took me to my first game when I was 4 years old, one of my earliest memories, and I've remained an avid supporter ever since. When my son was born the first thing he ever wore was a Hull City babygrow and it's my greatest wish in life that he'll follow in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and great-grandfather by being a Hull City AFC fan. Today that wish was taken away from me. 109 years of history for the club, 4 generations and over 70 years of support from my family, were negated in one pissing article from our so called 'saviour' owners. If you expect me to take that news without any kind of emotive reaction then I'm afraid you clearly have a very different outlook on things to me. I will always value our history, our reputation and our integrity over any commercial value and as one poster pointed out earlier today if that means lower league football to preserve our identity and history as a football club then I'd take that over modern day financially driven Premiership ****wittery any day. Like many of us, I've often sang 'City till I die' and meant it, but little did I realise that the City would die long before i would. When City no longer exist, where does that leave me and the history I'm so proud of?

On the other hand jimmy much the same as you my grandad was Hull City mad as was my dad...my dad first took me in 1965..... I have converted my Nieces into being Hull City mad and both have season passes this season

We are STILL the same club

Just added tigers on the end of Hull City.

I will still sing City till I die as always...

Whilst I respect your view, my post wasn't intended to be a 'I've got more history with the club than you' boast, I'm well aware there are many posters on here I would lose that battle with. More it was intended to communicate the reasons behind my strength of feeling in opposition to this name change. We clearly differ in the value attached to that history and tradition.

Seen quite a few opinions to this effect that I really don't understand at all. To put this into perspective let us imagine a situation...

You are falling off a cliff, a man reaches out and catches you thus saving your life. A few weeks later you have fully recovered and have been given a better job at work. Out of the blue the guy that saved you walks in to the office and shoots you in the arm simply for his own sadistic enjoyment. Should you not feel anger towards him just because he saved you in the first place? Should you smile sweetly and thank him for what he has done?

Just thinking the club said we wouldnt have music when goals are scored.....how long before that happens ? then we are fully americanised!!!
