The reality is that it is very difficult to get a player to come to the club knowing they will be 4th choice, be it at Centre back or even centre forward.
Going to need a little more proof than that. A YouTube video is the least I'd expect. The interweb says "tee-bee-ill-iss-ee" and that people saying "tib-liss-ee" are incorrect.
I can't wait for the day that a striker is potentially joining us, but has reservations over being "4th choice"
which translates to "If's and but's are not part of this team." However, if you leave the "t" off of the end of "mannschaft", it says "Ifs and but's are not part of this male sheep".
Ledley King being a good bloke again. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/...ns_up_for_Town_man___s_70th_birthday/?ref=rss
WY, am on a different laptop so can't get to the original design until after weekend but if you want to have a crack at a new banner, best thing is to save my banner (right click view image and then save), upload it into photoshop and then just save over it with a blank canvas and set the ruler guidelines on photoshop, of the banner, to fit within the areas which can be seen on the site, thats how i got the text to fit perfectly and ledleys head Plus as YV said, keep it fairly simple as everyone loved my design when they saw it, but to be honest even i was a disappointed when it actually went up as the white area bit makes the banner lose some colour/design as i should have used smaller images and made it look fuller, or just more simple, which is why its started to looked tired as all you can see are too many empty areas or half of ledleys head etc, wasn't how the banner was meant to look.
The banner should be the width of the white area. That way most people will get the full banner, and if you can't you'll likely be scrolling left and right anyway. Its not606 that needs to have a word with itself, your banner is sweet. The white bit overlapping the banner is also way too big for the content it contains. Why waste that much banner space?
Cheers my friend, You have given me back that Friday feeling after Roo & WY destroyed my confidence ....just joking lads But yeah the layout of this site is crap, no idea why they waste all the top area as if it was like normal sites then people could just design the banner without having to worry what gets missed out.
No probs Also, not606 devs if you are listening, what would be REALLY REALLY great is if you could provide a nice little javascript button to refresh the page at the bottom of the page. When you are on iphone the refresh button goes off screen when you scroll down so if you are trying to follow a live match using n606 (like i do occasionally) you need to scroll back up, hit refresh, wait, and then find out where you last were. A refresh button down the bottom that refreshes to your scroll point would be amazeballs!
i don't know if this is what you've already said spurm, as web design jargon is not my forte, but the banner should be the width of the "grey lines", just to the left and right of comment area. Having used an Ipad and Iphone, it just cuts of anything else anyway. Boss, I think your design is great!
Yes, perzackerly what i meant. The site is seemingly designed for big resolution monitors. Even my work desktop pc is not wide enough to get the banner in, but i also can't scroll left/right, hence i only found out Bale was on the banner (far right) when someone posted a thumbnail. Lots of web content is consumed by tablets and phones now. The site should be designed thusly or have an alternative layout.
Hopefully that obvious point might put an end to "just" get a defender. Whoever it is may get the first couple of games then he sits down scrapping for a cup game spot....I can just see the queue down the High Road and round the shop! PM
