They need to finish the south west corner where the changing rooms will be plus make new dugouts before they can demolish the East Stand

Mitch - I think the plans for the changing rooms have changed and they will no longer be in the SW Corner, but will remain in the East Stand. SW Corner will consist of more corporate entertaining and a new "sports Bar".

So they will have to retain the old changing rooms whilst developing the stand around it - Portacabins? I suspect this will happen at the end of this season.

The club announced quite some time ago that the SW Corner will no longer have the changing rooms.. I think it was about May.

The following Wobby link was in June

The relevant paragraph was:
Initially the changing rooms and media facilities were going to be situated in the structure but that is no longer the case, with those areas remaining in the East Stand.[/I]

But, even if thats the case, they cant demolish the East Stand as where will the players get changed? In the Allotments? Plus where what about the dugouts? Maybe they could convert the hornet shop under the Rookery into temporary changing rooms?

Well they must have a solution Mitch or they wouldn't have announced it.

Perhaps they will change in the centre circle with towels around them for modesty! :)
And oranges at half time on the halfway line........

They're all coming to the ground in full kit apparently - and then getting changed in their cars afterwards.

It seems to me that a new stand could be installed in two stages. Use the area that is being cleared to erect a new stand, move the changing rooms under that, then when completed remove the remaining area and continue the stand for the full length. From the article here about Barnet it looks as if a stand could arrive quicker than I had first thought.

Honestly OFH you would not believe it. I live round the corner form the Hive and the speed that stand went up at was incredible. It looks a really smart little ground now but if all the locals who say they're going to go actually do then they may need to move round the corner to Wembley!
