Shame it wont happen as Levy clearly said during the bid for the Olympic stadium it was that or nothing. ;)



But despite getting the green light from the local council for the Northumberland Development Project, the costing of the proposals mean Spurs no longer consider them viable.

"That is absolutely dead in the water," Levy told Sky Sports News.

"We have made it clear that the current stadium proposals at Tottenham are not viable so that is not something we are able to proceed with.

"At the moment we do not have an alternative''


Or was old deep pockets talking ****e??!!

That's right. If you go to the Chelsea game at WHL there are pictures everywhere, be strange to have them up for something we're not planning.

Ch +100yrs - how old is your quote, probably before we got Boris to cough up the redevelopment of the surrounding areas.

Well we all know that its happening but you carry on believing that your board isn't selling you down the river for mugs. The proof of the pudding will be when the deal is done will the greedy board eat up the profit or invest in the team? that will answer everybody's question.

Every penny Spurs made through player trading over the past few seasons has been ploughed back into strengthening our squad - no profits have been taken by the Board.

We do not want to sell Gareth Bale at this time.

And I'm confident that unless Real Madrid offer a totally ridiculous amount for him, he will still be a Spurs player on 2nd September.

Let me correct you, brother: unless Real is prepared to pay all the cash up front, we tell them to get on their bikes.

We can, all of us, buy multi-million pound players if we don't have to pay for them.

Levy is not stupid. Real owe us £12m for Modric; they can't even pay off that debt. Why on earth would we simply give them Bale? Because that is what we would be doing.
 
On the one hand the Spurs board is greedy. On the other, Arsenal fans tell us they spend fortunes on players and undrachieve....

WHL is our 3rd ground so we've only moved twice. So even if we moved again which we are not it would only be our 3rd move.

Is that simple enough for you to understand.

I've got no idea why it matters at all that we moved grounds before mind

But of course that is pure speculation on your part isn't it Piskie, or maybe just more wishful thinking and so it got shot down on the Spurs board, what like a spurs fan going on the Arsenal board and suggesting that your manager doesnt want to spend money would be I guess!

It is speculative, but the point though, is that if a spurs fan came on the Arsenal board and said Wenger doesn't want to spend money, then they would be obviously wrong as we have just submitted a forty million pound bid for Suarez. On the other hand is the Spuds new stadium which they want to build, and Levy has said that unless it can be financed, it won't happen. Therefore it is not that much of a speculative leap to suggest that if Real make offer an offer that would pay for a third of that stadium in one go, Levy might use it for that purpose.

Plenty of smaller clubs have not wanted to sell their players to bigger clubs in the past, doesn't stop it from happening though. Especially when the player has indicated that he wants to further his career at a club that can match his ambition.

Well I for one am extremely proud of our club remaining in the same spot throughout our entire existence. I believe we're the only ones in top flight to have done so.
