What area of our team do you think needs some work on to make it better and who would you bring in to fix that problem?
For me, we need a winger and a creative midfielder. Neymar and Sneijder would be great to buy... Would love to have robben back at chelsea but i dont think its going to happen. Thoughts?

I would rather we stayed away from the big names and went for another Robben type of signing...ie someone who is bursting to make an impact from a smaller FA, like Hernandez for example<ok>

I think we need natural width, a serious RB and a centre mid.

It's pretty obvious that we need more attacking options, pace and better service from midfield. Lukaku and Neymar are both being looked at up front with Pastore being looked at as an attacking midfielder. Sturridge has done enough to warrant more games next season and I would also like to see Hazard or Sanchez come in. It looks like Bos will be sold and Gregory Van De Wield will come in as a replacement.

Zhirkov looks like he is heading out the door and I can see Anelka and Malouda joining him. I would also sell Mikel and Kalou. Both have been pretty decent squad players but I would play Luiz or Essien as a holding player which would mean Mikel would be surplus as Ramires can also play there. Even if the strikers are trimmed down we could potentially see Torres, Lukaku, Neymar, Drogba, Sturridge and Kalou all fighting for a place in the team so we should sell Kalou and get some money for him and let Sturridge have more game time.

I would like to see Van Aarnholt, McEachran and Kakuta regularly on the bench with every opportunity taken to play these guys when possible.

I think we definitely need to hang on to all our young players who are making the breakthrough at the moment. It's been Fergie's policy to baptize them early and it nearly always seems to work, so make sure Hamburg stops poaching the youngsters.

    Ideal XI
Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Cole; Mikel (holding), Essien, McEachran;Drogba, Torres, Sturridge

I think you guys will get a strong , hopefully healthy season out of Essien this year . Chelsea don't need much at the moment except a start to the season . Thanks to Chelsea in general for Rodgers ability to use his stature to get through the door , to help us get a break or two when other Championship teams were receiving mega help ( cheers )

Really can't see how that team is better than the one that performed so averagely for large chunks of this season and how do you fit 3 centre forwards in to a starting 11? Studge wide maybe but all his good work at Bolton is playing up top.

I'm all for bringing the youth on again this year but not necessarily bang into the best 11.

The Defence and keeper are fine (just a toss up between alex and luiz really). I think a midfield of essian or ramieres holding, lampard and a new signing. Up top we need 2 creative / pacey players to support Torres (or Drogba). Malouda maybe one but we should definetely go for another.

That leaves 2 essential signings for me. A creative midfielder and attacker with pace.

Options? Pastore, Hamsik, Modric for the middle? Neymar or Sanchez for attack??

We can then gradually bring on the likes of Josh and Sturridge through the season. Give them more starts but probably not first 11 just yet.

    We need a complete overhaul.
We finished a poor second in the worst Prem season since Sky invented football.

I'd get rid of; Bosingwa, Ferriera, Zhirkov, Malouda, Kalou, Lampard, Hilario, Anelka, Benayoun, for starters.
Essien would be in the last chance saloon as well.
Can someone tell me why we let Cudicini join Spurs to be their 2nd keeper when we could have kept him as ours?

Who would I buy? **** knows.

I agree, but not to the extent of removing the backbone of the squad. Lampard should stay, but needs to be used sparingly, plus he just doesn't have that range of passing we need, bring in Hamsik or Modric, Pastore seems miles away if they really are demanding £40m, we can have Hamsik or Modric for less. Let go of Anelka, Kalou, Hilario, Bosingwa, Ferreira and Malouda if he isn't prepared to accept being a squad player.

I struggle with the idea that Lampard can be used sparingly on £150k a week!

Why on earth do people want to get rid of Malouda, he had some bad games because he's been force to play so much football in the past couple of seasons and he was still our top scorer and created more chances than anyone else in the league. Don't think we should buy Modric, not a fan of buying established stars from other (fairly) big teams.

I'd really like us to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson, I seriously think he'll end up at a big big club one day and we'll regret not signing him from Reading for £5m when we had the chance. Also, Neymar would be amazing and Mario Gotze would be a dream.

We don't need that level of overhaul. Jesus, you have just sold half the squad that won the double 12 months ago, this aint champ manager.

In my view we really just need to replace 2 or 3 players in the right areas and inject a lot of creativity and pace with the new players we do get. The keeper and back 4 is still at least up there as the best in the league. Lampard should not be sold at all. Such short memories. He just needs to be played alongside a more dynamic midfielder like a fabregas (i know that wont happen). Mikel, essien and ramieres can fight for the holding role and then we just need to sort out the wings. Malouda is still plenty good enough as well.

1 top class midfielder and winger/forward and we will challenge no doubt.
