Thank you for taking the time to put your thoughts together on this.:emoticon-0139-bow:

Danish, 'a walk up start' is an Aussie slang for 'candidate'

Barton has made his own bed therefore life for him sometimes gets complicated

He played a very good game of football Saturday without his ego and maybe that is his journey

He was humbled by the spirit of our football club which has seen a full spectrum of emotions

Our Midfield collectivity on Saturday had teeth with was far too strong for Wednesday

That was clear to see with Faurlin growing in the second half Yes there were a few poor passes but we looked solid

I saluted Joey Barton Saturday as he played a simple game his two fouls that have been in question were down to match fitness.

In time teams will target Barton if he stays but we have teeth now who will look after him

Credit where credit is due Barton was very good for us ... He owes us a few performances and that showed
He has learnt and his link up play with Simpson was also good our right side was tight

His ego like all of ours ****s things up
    in life

I hope Harold plays a strong team against Exeter as team spirit is vital and I understand what Harold is doing I think We need to go there and win and win well. I would play my strongest team and build up the understanding

We got the points and the scoreline didn't reflect the game as all

The football was at times bad but our midfield can play on the deck as and when having this type of Barton is good for that

I hope he plays Saturday as we have to face a home crowd who will be up for it

sb...73 seems to have danish as a wingman in the crusade against Dum-barton. Well, everybody choose their own fun i suppose. However i have to say, that this thread has gone bore as so many barton-threads before. Why on earth we dont let the bloke play as he plays like he did on saturday. Whats the point of paying him massive wages and then leave him on the bench/out of team just because he is going to blow it eventually? I say let him play with the time being before he isgoingto blow it.

Precisely, I bag Barton because I a realist, I see him for what he is, scum BUT I also see him as a very good footballer when his ego is not flapping about.
I want him to play as many games as Harry see's fit. The only difference is that we all know Barton will lose it, sooner or later ............. has to be a given, however, as I've said before, let's get what we can out of him. Give him credit where it is due and likewise when he plays the fool.

I think the reason we had a couple of new Barton threads is because he played very well on the weekend and we the fans wanted to acknowledge it, whilst being under no illusion how it can very quickly turn the other way. Well, that's my piece.

No one's wingman Igor and I'm sure SB disagrees far more with my thought than agrees.
This particular quandry some of you are in is to my mind not a quandry at all - We're not talking about whether Adel is too selfish or whther he can be incorporated in the team or if Clint and Derry are too slow or Traore just plain thick!!
What we have in front of us is someone who has brought disrepute and disruption to every club he's been at, this is someone who although paid handsomely has repeatedly laughed at us in the face - and time after time.
Those that are giving this guy a 32nd chance are even conceding that they are in full knowledge that he will "blow up" again.

The above should be reason enough to not want him ever near our beloved club but should you want to debate his footballing prowess I give you this:

The reason why Dumbarton looked OK on Saturday is because this league is just ****e - overpaid ****e at that- There a 3 teams that will walk this league and we're not one of them - Those teams are Wigan,Reading & Watford.

The reason I'm so miffed is not that we're not going up, Hell I've spent most of my life with Rangers not in the top flight so I can handle that - No what infuriates me are lost opportunities and this is a lost opportunity to regain our soul. Why couldn't we go down the Swansea model heh?

There are so many fantastic young players playing for peanuts in Spain, Denmark, Eastern Europe, who could easily lighten up this League and more but no, we are just lazy and go for lazy have never beens and pay them a fortune.

Heres two for you - And remember I gave you and the Management team Okore last year - There are 2 magnificent prospects available -

No. 1 Tobias Christensen from FCK - 19 years old - not playing in first team because their new trainer is rigid with a system and refuses to play him - Available for 100 grand - The boy will score goals at every level and will be better than Fischer who is better than Erikssen!
No 2 - Can't name him online as this wouldn't be fair, but there is a young Spanish center back that was a star in Valencia's youth team playing regularly with Isco et al. Because of a knee injury 2 years ago and the financial plight in Spain no one will take a risk. He was forced to take a contract with Hercules for 500 Euros a month and a room at local University campus!!!!

Now if it was just the Bartons, Henrys and O'Niels that were available I would just have to lump it - But trust me and you'll have to trust me on this - There are far superior options in this World than Messrs Barton, Henry, O'niel and Zamora - set your sights higher - A good start will be to set your values which must never change and go from there.

There can be a fruitful life without Dumb, Dumber and Dumbarton!!!!!

By the way SB - I'm so sorry they have slurred your Procurement skills, I know you'd have gotten a far cheaper and better wingman than me!!

We see eye to eye on Barton Danish, for me its nothing to do with how good he is or isn't, its all to do with his character. I'm sure I'd be more excited by your unknown Danes and Spaniards than I am by Karl Henry too. I've lost track on who Dumb and Dumber are, but if one is Redknapp I'm in the same camp, just don't think we can go through the nightmare of change again just now. If the other is Fernandes, he's made plenty of serious mistakes, but probably idiotically I still like him and think he is the best thing about the club.

By the way Igor, when Barton joined I was caught up in the excitement. Roller was nearly a lone and very consistent voice against. I listened to the voice, read a bit more about Barton, watched him play, then witnessed his disrespect to team mates and management through tweets etc, which culminated in the City game. Roller was obviousy and completely right from the outset in my eyes. I just wish I had seen the obvious from day one as well.
If the debate bores you, ignore it. But every time I see this mass amnesia based on one game I'm likely to point out that history rarely lies.

I have hated Barton from Day one ... well documented on here however ... Life sometimes has plan ... like love we have to believe in it. Barton did a good job on Saturday that was clear however it was just Saturday. Leopards etc but you have to hope ... we all sit on here eating scraps of useless info. we are only as good as our last game IMO ...Barton did well in that

Ouch! Now when put it like that and obviously straight from your heart i better come and kick that barton asshole out of our beloved club myself! Seriously im maybe low on morale or something because those stupidities, that barton have done dont effect me much. QPR is much too big to suffer something that some idiot footballer has done and said/wrote. Surely some tweets are ridicolous and thoughtless but majority of star players are knobheads anyway. Im just saying, that if we pay him massive wages and nobody seems to want him let him play IF HE PLAYS LIKE HE DID ON SATURDAY!

Danish im sure, that in Europe theres loads of better players than Barton. Problem is, that our scouting system is not good enough to find those rough diamonds from Denmark, Sweden, or even Finland. Swansea has find the stone of wisdom from Spain. For example Granero was suppose to be as good as Michu and maybe he will in some other league but not in England. Laudrup just have to know that Michu suited well to play in England.

I was gutted with how Barton behaved in a QPR shirt at city, it was disrespectful, you could expect it from a Leeds or Millwall player but not one of ours.

Having said that for the last few months we have been expecting Barton to go elsewhere on a free or even buying him out of his contract.

Regardless what I think of him as a person, as soon as he pulls on that shirt I will support him.

This is good business sense on behalf of Harry and TF, at the moment Barton has something to prove and we all know how much he likes to do that, he is also not likely to 'loose it' properly till the second half of the season. So come January, we have a saleable commodity...

I may be completely wrong but TF hasn't got where he is today by giving things away free.

Joey (Joe) Barton made it very clear he doesn't want to play in the NPC - but his plans to engineer a move to OM and his Everton "not me, my agent" come and get me appeals have fallen on deaf ears - so far. Logic dictates that he needs to get himself back in the shop window, and what better way to do that than to play in a team that will naturally garner a large proportion of the column inches for the next few weeks before the PL season starts.

Joe needs media coverage and he needs potential employers to think he has chilled out and is prepared to knuckle down and stay out of trouble.

I have no doubt that he has absolutely no intention whatsoever of staying with us, but he needs us in the short term to raise his profile. The 'humble' Barton tweet is more evidence of his ability to play the media (and us) and he's good at it. I don't believe that Barton is capable of any loyalty other than to himself - and some may say fair enough, but he's still picking up £70K a week of the clubs cash.

For me though, I'll reserve judgement until the transfer and loan windows close... he's got a lot of convincing to do and at the moment I just can't see this is any more that a shrewd confidence trick.

Lilttlelegs, Littlelegs - I know TF (Dumb - From Dumb and Dumber) is well liked by 99% - fine, that's your opinion and I fully respect it but..... and it's an enormous, ginormous whale of a BUT

Please, please don't quote his Business acumen as a plus as far as QPR is concerned. This man is equal to Wright in the squandering of money, I won't bring up the can of worms of how much money is actually his and for how long is he willing to make these stupid mistakes.

I'm afraid my feeling about our Tone has been that he will leave QPR as soon as he can quoting that everything and everyone was against him. He has royally fooked this up and is constantly having to peddle ****e he has bought for fortunes for peanuts - And that is only when he can!!!!

I'm pleased that you were gutted as we all were as to how Dumbarton behaved and I have a question for you -

Mike Ashley is recognised as a clown who doesn't really love Newcastle and is only in it for the money - Well, if there is even a modicum of truth to that, how come he let Barton go for free?
It seems that even Ashley had some values - Sorry I love my QPR - hate Dumbarton, everything that is wrong with Football.

I truly can't believe the enthusiasm for Barton on this thread or the large numbers of supporters at the game on Saturday who were able to overlook both what has gone before and his usual average performance.
    • He played one exceptional pass (although to a totally unmarked player) but generally his pass completion rate was poor.
    • He worked hard in the middle of the pitch but didn't really disrupt Wednesday's tactics.
    • He got himself needlessly booked when the rest of the team were very disciplined.
    • He could easily have cost us the win by sticking out a leg in the area as you might expect a less experienced player to do.
    • This liability and well average performer is costing us £70k a week. How many grafting midfielders could we get for that?

With so many of you of the opposite opinion I guess it must just be me who can't forgive and forget but I simply didn't see anything to change my mind on Saturday.

Didn't applaud when he came on or off and won't, however the cross field ball has to have a mention. On pure footballing terms, I thought he was played out of position but he did make the best of it however he could have given way more help to Simpson. He did look up and put the ball early into the box when he could but definitely not a right winger.

Don't misinterpret praise for an excellent performance, with forgiving or forgetting! I haven't forgotten or forgiven, but IF Barton repeats that performance for us most matches this season, I'll be well happy he's playing for us. But I'm not judging what sort of bloke is he here, if he plays well, adds to a good team spirit, and avoids more than average discipline problems, I'm not sure it matters too much what he's like.
