He actually said Bale isn`t worth twice as much as Suares. He is wrong of course, a player is worth whatever a club is willing to pay and since Arsenal are the only club showing any sign of interest in Suares their valuation of him is the one that counts. Liverpool either sell or they don`t, it won`t make him worth any more.

80m? damn straight.If he has a great season for Liverpool if he is still a Liverpool player, scored 20+ goals despite his 6 game ban and behaves I can see a hefty bid next summer from either one of the French or Spanish clubs. All IFs of course.
In fairness bale has had more than one good season. He is also less of a liability than Suarez despite the diving.
Suarez is a nasty piece of work who spends a good chunk of the season suspended and drags his club's name through the mud. Those factors lessen his value.
Alfonso Alves scored more goals then games, so that tells you everything about the standard of defending in Holland.
As for Bale having one good season, he's won PFA player of the year twice and has been excellent for the past three seasons, plus he started off as a left back, moved to left wing and now considered a forward, once he plays back to back seasons in his new role he will be an even greater player.

A striker has to beat the keeper and has to do a lot of work to get a tally like that, of course you seem to conveniently leave out that he bagged 23 last season in just over 30 games last season too, in his first full season in a team that finished 7th, which by your logic says all that needs to be said about defending in the PL

The Dutch league is a woeful league for defending and there are many examples of highly average strikers excelling in terms of goal records, as the space strikers are allowed is at times criminal, and yes I've been watching the league for years and can happily enjoy a debate while you use Google to assist.
As for posting Bales stats you don't realise you have made yourself look rather simple as all you have done is highlight the fact in bales only season as a forward he scored 21 goals,.
See if you can find the phone numbers for all the players who voterd in 2010-11 when bale won the PFA player of the year award, as according to you he has only been good for one season(last year).
Also you have missed the point made about the Dutch league, it wasn't to attack suarez, who is a player i rate, it was to highlight the point about the Dutch league and records there have no real meaning.

Bale is not worth twice as much as Suarez, I agree with that. But then Bale is not 'worth' the ridiculous amounts of money being bandied around either. After all, he is moving to Real who seem to have used breaking the transfer record as a proxy for winning titles over the last decade or so. Imo Bale is worth around £60m, Suarez around £40m.
Bale is more valuable, imo, due to the lack of controversy he generates, and his ability to make the difference in the tight games. His stats over the last two years have also been as good as Suarez across the PL, FAC and EL, which is impressive for a player who is two and a half years younger and plays in a less advanced role. Less baggage plus greater potential = more valuable.

Real are a joke. In the past ten years they've spunked money like no other club in history and their return has been 4 league titles and not a single Champions League.

Wouldn't say overvalued by a fair way, but definitely overvalued (and overrated) by Liverpool and their fans. Must be a bit of a slap in the face for Suarez and Liverpool - I bet when they sat down last year and put that clause in the contract about considering bids over £40m they were imagining Barca and Real bidding. They didn't anticipate it would be the CL also rans getting involved...
Even worse than Chelsea's three league titles and one CL. Tho' to be fair Chelsea did start from much further back that Real, and are a much smaller club.
